Well, we are getting change allright. We are going backwards. I thought it was bad when Bush brought in all of the new people who didn't know a thing now Obama has gone backward to bring in the Clinton crowd. The last straw is our new CIA director. Remember the rotten intelligence we got about weapons of mass distruction? Well this new guy doesn't even know what CIA does. Probably doesn't even know what it stands for. I am all for giving the new President his chance to change this country around but some of the people he is bringing in from the Clinton era is making me think he is covering up his inexperience with these people. Bad mistake. Who'se going to cover up for them. Plus so many people are yelling and screeming about the harsh treatment the terroist we have in custody are getting. They are getting nothing compared to what they would get if they were caught by the Russians, Chinese or some of other Muslim country. In a real war if you aren't in uniform and are caught you are a spy and shot. Of course the US can't fight a real war anymore. Our government is to busy trying to please every country in the world. And if that doesn't work then they try to buy them. No country respects the USA anymore much less fear us. Thank Washington for that. When most of our politicians have only a big mouth and nothing else to back our country up with we are finished.

I was just thinking about this past Christmas and the parades I saw pieces of on TV. Some places had a fair number of people and others had a really poor showing. I started remembering a parade in downtown Winston Salem I saw around 53 or 54 years ago. My best friend Jimmy's dad owned and Esso station on the parade route and Jimmy helped his dad wash cars. The day of the parade I went down and helped him so he could quit early and watch the parade with me. We climbed on top of the service station and had the best seat in the house except for the wind, which of course didn't bother two kids back in those days. I remember as far as I could see, kids and parents and adults without kids were 10 to 15 deep all along the route. I can't remember all that was in the parade. I remember many bands and several floats and cars with pretty girls and of course Santa Clause. It seems other things have taken the place of our parades. We still talk about the Christmas Sprit, but I wonder how much of it is still with us. Maybe we are leaving out the true meaning and by doing that the spirt is going away and being replaced by how much we get and spend. With the ecconomy going the way it's going, the true meanings may be all anyone has left.

The Dash? That's about the worst name I have ever heard for a sports team. Now I hear tickets are going to be at least $14. I can't see paying that much money for any single A baseball game. I use to watch the old Cardinals at Southside Park when I was a kid and I watched many games at Earnie Shore Field. I have enjoyed baseball all my life. After I joined the military, I was stationed around some major league cities and was able to see some of those games. Even a world series game in Oakland in 1972. But I will never pay $14 to watch what was most likely a year ago a high school kid play ball. Nothing aganist those boys, there are some good players out there, but it's still single A. That new ballpark doesn't impress me that much. The owner and city needs to rethink this price. I guess they think they have a AAA club.

I see the Iraqi government is dictating how our troops are going to be used until we pull them out. If that is the case, we better get them out now!!! The army of Iraq has proven over and over it is worthless in a combat situation. Now we hear they are running the show and telling our prople what to do. If they are that ready then let them fend for themselves. They are just like South Vietnam. We left them on their own and the couldn't win a game of checkers without the US. All this is going to do is cost us more lives because the Army of Iraq is not qualified to fight on its own. Our only choice is to get our people out and not let them get killed following orders from idiot who don't know which side they are on. Our politicians are about to screw up again just like Nam.

Listen up people. No matter who you vote for, make sure you keep your 2nd Amendmendment rights. Don't let the politicians feed you a bunch of bull about taking guns off the street and away from the bad guy by taking your rights. The bad guys always have guns. Look at the problem know. Most of the bad element out there have records or they are under age and should not be able to have handguns but they do. I was stationed in Turkey for 2 years where the citizens could not have a weapon with a rifled barrell. IE. rifle, handgun ect. But the terroist and bad element did have them. The weapons came from other countries, military weapons storage warehouses and anyplace they could steal them. I saw Turks and Americans shot down by these people and the American Military did not even have a weapon to defend theirselves with because of a stupid status of forces agreement we have with Turkey and Carter did nothing. Running guns is as big as drugs and taking ours isn't going to help. The honest people in this country have a right to their weapons. I fought for that right and I don't need some jack leg politician to tell me I am not responsible enough to own them. I used them to protect their butt while they were fat catting around running their mouth about a war they knew nothing about other then they didn't want to go. Well maybe that war wasn't popular either, but we the military man didn't start it. Your politicians did. The same ones who are going to stop this one. So no matter who is elected, stand up for your rights our forefathers gave us.
