Recently I have been taking Boy Scouts on several hikes.  1 of which we did locally in the city.  The boys are required to pick up all litter when we hike.  We ran out of trash bags.

However, let's see if you can name the #1 piece of litter found either on the shores of the Pacific or Atlantic Ocean in the United States, or ANY one of the great lakes?

I know what it is, do you?

Do you think this indicates that Cigarette smokers are more likely to litter?

Does this impact or affect your view of the currently tabled public smoking ban?

Not at all . Smokers lite up an average of a pack a day [ 20 cigs in the U.S. , 25 in Canada ] . So , it's only normal that butts would be the most predominant thing to find . I'd like to see someone pack away 20 bottles of water a day . Now , beer drinkers can pack away a case a day , but , their is a deposit on those bottles , and , thus , can contribute to more beer .
