I am by far from being a racist.  I am a gay man who has no right what so ever to be discriminatory.

But the singing of the National Black Anthem for the swearing in ceremony was just another way to separate Detroit from the suburbs.  Detroit is not just a place for the African American community....it should be a place for EVERYONE !  I am very very offended.  Was the National Anthem not good enough??

I Totally Understand why that would be a problem for non-african americans.

As much as i understand why the National Anthem leaves an Uncomfortable feeling in the minds of Minorities, even after many have risked their own lives fighting in wars for this country.

Yet, Knowing full well that not only have they been Historically, Unjustly mistreated, and Still Today, face daily Racism, from Certain Sick Minded people that expect them to Simply Ignore it, Deny it, and Overlook it or leave.

I Totally get it. I Totally get Both Sides.

The Only solution i see. Is to eliminate all the Thugs and Racist people. So everyone can feel Proud for their Country Knowing that their Country Accepts them and Loves them back. A Nation where they wont be judged by the Color of their skin. But by the Content of Their Character.

Minorities want to feel just as Proud about America as any one else.

Remember this, One of the Biggest Emotional needs that Humans have. Is the Need to feel Accepted.

Do this and i guarantee you would see Harmony like you've never seen it before. As if God himself came down from the Heavens and Vanquished the Evil people from the grounds in which they stood.

When good people stand up and take a stand against Anyone Creating Division and Embraces Everyone doing their part to establish Unity.

This would be a better Country for us All.

When the Power of Love, Overcomes the Love of Power, The World will Know Peace.

People like you have never understood what "freed the slaves" actually meant.....it meant you were free.....make a life for yourself and move on.....did you ever hear of women sufferage? We've worked for everything that we have and moved forward.....I'm tired of people that think that they can play the "race" card so they can scream for entitlements!

I moved from Detroit this past August back to Alpena to take care of my parents. I still have a love and interest in what goes on in Detroit.
