Kilpatrick is starting to crack under the pressure

Back door meetings with Detroit's top business executives, numerous phone calls and court trials looming.  Kwame Kilpatrick cannot heal this city.  So who can?  Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy.

It is told that for a few hours, Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick's backers thought it was almost over. 

The mayor agreed at one point during the past 10 days to let his attorneys talk to Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy concessions he was willing to make to bring an end to his case.  But when his attorneys presented them to Worthy, she declined the opportunity, the source said.

Worthy made it clear that once again Kilpatrick and his team got greedy.  Worthy said, 'If I can get that, I can get more.' 

So then what is it that Worthy wants?  All of Detroit and the State of Michigan are now looking to Kym Worthy to be a true leader and bring this ugly, slimy and costly mess to an end.  Detroit needs a hero Ms. Worthy.

HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN MS. KYM IS A HIGHLY INTELLIGENT WOMAN. SHE DON'T NEED TO BE A "HERO" KK SHOULD HAVE BEEN THAT IN THE BEGINNING OF HIS MESS. SAY YOU'RE SORRY AND MOVE ON. BUT NO, HE WANTED TO BE THE ARROGANT AND SELFISH SELF-CENTERED PERSON HE IS AND WASTE TIME AND MONEY TO PROLONG HIS LIES AND DECEIT TO THIS GREAT CITY AND PEOPLE. KYM IS NOT GOING TO BE RUSHED INTO ANYTHING. SHE MADE THAT QUITE CLEAR IN THE BEGINNING. I SAY TO KYM, YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE THAT HERO THAT SOMEONE ELSE SHOULD HAVE STEPPED UP TO BE. Detroit does not need another "Hero". Detroit needs the "Thunder Dome"...better known as Kym Worthy for Mayor. But, Kym Worthy has shown arrogant behavior recently also. Kym has attacked Kwame's Detroit Dream Team of high price Attorneys, and believe me they are going to try to out-wit her.

Kym, must remember that: No matter how much someone attacks you, you are still responsible for how you handle yourself in the aftermath!! Kilpatrick ask for a "Deal", and Kym said 'NO DEAL'!!! YET!!....

Detroit needs a mayor and the region needs a governor that brings diversity and continuity to the city and state! We DO NOT NEED leaders with DIVISIVE agendas. This thing of being a 'black' city is totally NON-PRODUCTIVE for it's citizens and the sooner 'the supporters' understand that the better off the CITY will be!

Kym Worthy is "Tenatious" - She impresses me to be a person who will insist on proving her point if she believes she is right (a kind of righteous indignation) !!

I don't expect her to play "Let's Make a Deal"
with the Kuame camp.

justice-prevails, you are sooo right!! Kym is tough, smart and capable of being a good Mayor for Detroit.

But, in a Man's world...Women are given only the political positions that Men will "let" them have. Will Detroit's next Mayor be a Woman? My husband says, No! Never!!

For some strange reason...I have a feeling that Kwame will not be charged nor convicted for all of the horrible things he has done!!

SEAH: Shame on You!! Obama is a very intelligent Man of Class! Obama knows that in a Racist Country like the United States he had to be "better" educated and graduate from an elite College or University and be a great Orator, and 3 dimensional thinker to be a candidate for President!! Why?? Obama knew that he had to be a "Super African-American" to even be considered for the Presidency. He is Qualified!! He has choosen the right White Man to run as Vice-President. A Man of Class like himself!!

Do you have an Elite background? Can and Will You run for President within the next 4 years!!

You know, that if Obama were conservative, graduation from an "elite" College or University such as Harvard, he'd be considered an Uncle Tom workin for Da Man. You KNOW this to be true. So why is Obama any different? Oh yeah, he's a pro abortion, big tax, knows what is best for you even more that you so he'll make your choices with big government health care, Socialist. RLTW175: Have you know comment sense. American workers are losing their jobs, homes, and standards of Middle-class living. What do you think of the Global Economy? International Trade? I am sure that you know quite a few people who had jobs within the Auto Industry and the Manufacturing Financial sector. The Reason "China" had such an elaborate opening for the "Olympics" is because our lost Jobs increased their cost of living, and Gross Chinese Product!! They have Money to Spend!! They have our Jobs!! This is why the Chinese were smiling so much. We are the "Have Nots" not "Them".

I would rather pay a increase tax and have a Job than to continue to see jobs being out-sourced and American workers quality of life continuing to decrease. We have spent over 20 Trillion on the War in the Middle East!! WE ARE IN A RECESSION!! This is not being gullible. This is a true statement.

yep, I have Kno...err, no common sense. Especially when it comes to a man of "class" whom defends another man in court who would not give his low income tennants heat because he "could not afford it". Yet that same sub-zero Chicago winter give that same "man of class" a 5 digit donation.
Incidentally, Obama lost that court case (one of the few he was actually involved in as a lawyer) which begs the question: Was he so incompetitent as to lose a valid case, or is he knowingly defending a slum-lord? Actually I think the answer is both.
The Chinese have to smile. The Socialist government makes them. They very carefully cultivated that image which is not a true image of human attrocity going on there.
By gullible, you think Obama is somehow different than others,when in fact, he is just as corrupt with his own set of cronies as any other Chicago politician. If you indeed think this bum will bring the "Change" he claims, THAT is what makes you gullible.

Recession: "a significant decline in economic activity spread across the economy, lasting more than a few months, normally visible in real GDP, real income, employment, industrial production, and wholesale-retail sales."
No we are not there yet, as we were when Bush took office, took a multi-billion dollar economic business tank in several companies that "thrived" in the 90's (Enron Worldcom etc.), and oh yeah, Wall Street shut down for a couple weeks because of a small fire.
I know things are not rosey, but I also know that they could've been much much worse.

This should help explain where GDP is currently. It was, umm.... up, that is it grew 1.9%. nope, not a recession, by defination. THAT is fact.
