I made a blog a few weeks ago about how I thought we needed to do away with the electoral college. I got many responses saying how idiotic that idea was, but I am sticking to it. This latest election just once again proves my point. Obama got 70% of the electoral college, but 52% of the popular.

As some of you may have noticed, the blogger tagalong68 seems to be posting this in comments, and made his own blog:Subject: This is terrible!!
The
following is a narrative taken from Sunday Morning's televised>
'Meet The Press' and the author is employed by none other than the>
Washington Post!!
>
> From Sunday's Televised 'Meet the Press' Senator Obama was asked
> about his stance on the American Flag. Obama Explains National Anthem
> Stance Sun, 07 Sept. 2008 11:48:04 EST, General Bill Ginn' USAF (ret.) asked
> Obama to explain why he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is
> played. The General also stated to the Senator that according to the United
> States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171... During rendition of the
> national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in
> uniform are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right
> hand over the heart. At the very least, 'Stand and Face It'
>
> Senator Obama Live on Sunday stated:
>
> 'As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as
> taking sides, Obama said. 'There are a lot of people in the world to whom
> the American flag is a symbol of oppression. And the anthem itself conveys a
> war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all. It should be
> swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song
> 'I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing.' If that were our anthem, then I might
> salute it.'We should consider to reinvent our National Anthem as well as to
> redesign our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It's my
> intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our
> Middle East Brethren. If we as a Nation of warring people, should conduct
> ourselves as the nations of Islam, whereas peace prevails. Perhaps a state
> or period of mutual concord between our governments. When I become
> President, I will seek a pact or agreement to end hostilities between those
> who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting
> oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation have placed upon the nations of Islam an
> unfair injustice. My wife disrespects the Flag for many personal reasons.
> Together she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the
> past, many years ago. She has her views and I have mine'. Of course now, I
> have found myself about to become the President of the United States and I
> have put aside my hatred. I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this
> Nation, and offer the people a new path of hope. My wife and I look forward
> to becoming our Country's First Family. Indeed, CHANGE is about to overwhelm
> the United States of America.'
>
> WHAAAAAAAT the Hell !!!
>
> Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you heard it right. This could possibly
> be our next President.
> I, for one, am speechless.

> Dale Lindsborg,

>This is posted verbatim what was said as sent to me!!!
Too bad it is all FALSE! Made up trash by conservatives still trying to smear Obama. Bunch of sore losers who need to move to Canada.
Tagalong seems a fitting name, since that seems to be what you do. Just tag a long with the conservative with whatever lie they put out next.

If all you conservatives are racist, why do you constantly feel the need to try and convince everyone you aren't racist? Usually, when a person knows they aren't something they generally don't go around defending themselves, ESPECIALLY when accusations aren't even made. I'm not gay. I don't feel the need to constantly prove I'm straight. So, why then do all you conservatives constantly feel the need to say you aren't racist? Well, here is my answer. You ARE a bunch of RACISTS!

I keep reading how people will leave the country because Obama is President. And, man, nothing would make me happier. Please, get the hell out. The less hateful, ignorant, bigoted, religious nut-jobs in this country the better!

My dad yesterday related a rather disturbing tale from his workplace. His boss came in repeating over and over, "This country is f***ed now!" It seems he does not like black people. Throughout the day, jokes were being made, with various watermelon references. . . Serosuly, the watermelons being on sale joke is now old, and was never funny. So, my dad held his tongue and listened to the hate being spewed by many of his coworkers. This hate took him by surprise. He always knew his coworkers were a little racist. Hell, we live in Belleville. If you're white, and you live in Belleville, chances are you're racist. But he was surprised to find how racist anyone is. Finally, my dad's boss made the following comment: "Oh well, it doesn't matter. He'll get a bullet through the head soon enough." So, my dad asked him a simple question, and that question was, did you vote? No, his boss said. What would it have mattered? It wouldn't have changed anything. It turns out, none of the racists ignorant a-holes voted. While this display of open racism is troubling, at least we now know the racists are too ignorant to vote.

I love this. Now, since people are posting inane and idiotic things about Obama, they ask why thier blogs are getting deleted. Bringing up the first amendment, comparing the Fox 2 webmasters to Nazis, and other idiotic crap. Now, since it is the conservative blogs getting deleted, and the conservative bloggers gagged, you pitch a fit?
Let me tell you something. I have had blogs deleted, been gagged more than a few times, and EVERY time it was due to something LIBERAL I said. And, you know why? Because it was most likely idiotic and innapropiate. But did anyone stick up for me? No. I seem to remember more than a few of you jerks being happy. So, screw you. Quit your whining. It is not because you are conservative. It is because you did something stupid.

It's George Shultz!

I found a recent interview on the Colbert Report very interesting. We all know conservatives are using the word socialism to characterize Obama. Well, did you know that there is an official Socialist party in America? And did you know they have a candidate for president? His name is Brian Moore, and he says Obama is not where near being a Socialist. Socialists want to have all banks, and essentially all money, controlled by the government and the people, and have the people decide what to do with the money. Obama, to socialists, is a strict capitalist.

It seems lately that the majority of blogs being posted are just copied and pasted articles. Now, I have done this a few times, but isn't the point of a blog sharing your own views, coming up with your own conclusions, rather than copying another person?

So, I was at Borders, and I noticed a motorcycle parked in the striped area next to a handicap spot. You see, people aren't supposed to park there for a reason. If someone has a side ramp for a wheelchair, they need that space to get out. But, no, Mr. Motorcycle is too ignorant and lazy to park where he is supposed to. And then I noticed two "McCain/.Palin" stickers on his bike. Oh, how mistaken I was! We all know what wonderful morals all you conservative Christian republicans have.
Sometimes, I just feel like throwing up.

Miss "common person" Sarah Palin isn't so common. For instance, she has spent 150,000 dollars on her new clothes ever since the campaign started. And that money comes from the Republican National Committee, for all you fiscal conservatives. This just shows how much of a fake she is. Oh, she also considers herself intellectual. So she is an ELITIST too. And, she also, as governor, soled the only working jet at a loss on E-BAY, and dragged her kids around at the taxpayer's expense, events where they didn't need to be. She then later changed forms, saying her children were there for a purpose, or to do certain "jobs,"like when she had the state pay for her her daughters' tickets to watch her hisband race in a dog-sled race. They were later listed (as in she changed the expense reports after the fact) as "First Family official starter for the start of the Iron Dog race."
Yeah, the idea of her possibly being president makes me feel good. And it makes me feel even better that our possible president made the decision of hiring this fool for the second most powerful postition in the nation.

Well, the Republicans and their campaign has hit a new low, as they frantically try and play to their base, I guess. Honestly, I don't get where these comments are coming from. Apparently, according to Palin and several campaigner for McCain, there is the REAL America, with real Americans, and then there is the fake one. Apparently, to be a REAL American, you must follow these certain guidelines. First, you can't live in a big city, or even a big town. Gotta live in a small town. That is the only place real values exist. Second, you must be a blue collar worker. For some reason, the people who get educated and make money are not part of the REAL America (ironic, coming from conservatives.) And third, and most important, you MUST be a REPUBLICAN who is voting for McCain. If you are a democrat, or an independent voting for Obama, you are not a REAL American.
Here is a clip from The Daily Show, giving the quotes, and making good points. As always.

Seriously, why did you change it? Ever hear of not fixing something if it isn't broken? Well, it is broken now, for me anyways. I keep getting bizzarre glitches, like all the information that is supposed to be on the bottom of the page is in the center, covering up text and anything else that is there. And sometimes it cuts off blogs, and I can't see the rest. Lame. Change it back.

I have noticed something. It seems that those who ae voting for McCain are never asked to explain why. I can't count how many blogs have been of the subject, "Why would you vote for Obama?" It seems that when you are an Obama supporter, you have to constantly support you decision, but when you are a McCain supporter, no one questions you. Well, I am.
Why would you want to vote for McCain? And I want reasons why you like McCain, not reason why you dislike Obama. We have had many of those blogs. Tell me WHY you are voting FOR McCain, and not why you are voting against Obama.
