I head to DNC convention this Sunday. I am thrilled to do my part to offer some great coverage on the internet. My job as a senior web producer will be to collect the best content in terms of video, blogs, breaking news and live streams and publish them in an easy to find, user-friendly format.

One of the things my colleague (John Wise) and I plan on doing each day is offering a one-hour live blog. Think of it as a chat room on steroids. We get to drop video, photos, ask poll questions. We'll line up guests at the convention to join us and have them answer viewer questions. It's essentially a web show and it's geared toward user input. Look for that on the center of our convention coverage page, everyday at Noon EST/ 11 CT / 10 MT / 9 PT.

Another thing we plan on doing is trying to capture video and commentary from the celebrities. This made me think... If you were given the chance to interview Oprah Winfrey or Barack Obama -- who would you choose?

Let me know what you think, it may help sway our camera. My answer coming soon in another blog.

Oprah has and remains one of the most giving people I have yet to meet. But I do wonder why everything she does and gives has been only for her own race. With her indorcement of Obama I am re thinking my opinion of her and as well as her motivation. Would she have indorced him if he were white? I don't thing so.

To bye-bye MI -- I am unabale to attend the RNC Convention, but a web team is in place to offer more of the same coverage. I will be helping to coordinate the coverage from the RNC from a remote location.

Bill-R you have to remember Oprah was a long time member of Obama`s old church. You know the one where allegience to Africa is first and racist rhetoric is disguised as sermons. Her world view has been skewed and tainted by Rev Wright. She`s using her white suburban fan base for what she can get and has decided to retire to Africa in a couple of years. She`s building a house there I believe close to her infamous girls school.

Invite Hillary Rodham Clinton to speak on your video and commentary; since it is also the 88th Anniversary of women getting the "right to vote" in the USA. Hillary's candidacy is more then noteworthy and the accomplishment of 18+ million voters was phenominal. At the Dem Convention Hillary as the first woman to reach such heights in our Country is more worthy of attention then Oprah who (although a person of note) has never attained such a feat.

Also, I think you should really make an attempt to attend the RNC Convention; otherwise it appears to be unbalanced.

Why would you not attend this critical event. I would respectfully suggest that you revise your schedule and go. You do owe balanced reporting to the public and if you are not there in person it is NOT the same.

"Why would you not attend this critical event"

Because Kraniak like so many others in the media don't even pretend to be impartial anymore.

I'd rather not hear from Oprah or Obama.....how about interviewing the young girl who put Moniac Conyers in her place? That child is smarter than the other ones.

who cares what Oprah thinks? Seriously when did making money become the criteria for a greatness? If this world gets you and likes you it means you aren't ahead of your time. No prophet is welcomed in their own town. She is a compilation of so many thoughts and views as if humility is saying no one is right. Relativism is not humility but a person with no courage in his conviction.

Senior Web Producer, Political Junkie. Married and father of two. For me it's about "we the people." When the politicians fail to recognize that they work for us, I go to work on them. There's a lot of work to do these days. In this blog I will offer analysis, argument and opinion. I want you to respond. Convince me and others of your argument. Take the gloves off, but respect your fellow bloggers. Stay on the issue, not the person. Thanks. I look forward to the dialogue.
