I am writing this blog before the results of Super Tuesday have come in, but I don't think the tone of my thoughts are going to change much when I wake up tomorrow.

Clinton vs Obama.  This race is will not end until this August's convention in Denver.  These two are neck and neck, and the magic number of delegates needed to win the nomination will not appear until all the primary's and caucuses have been held.  Even then there will be some wrangling and the uncommitted delegates may play the spoiler.  Lookout for John Edward's folks to play a role here.

Bottom line is this:  If the Dems want to win the White House back they should think about a "Super Ticket" on the heals of this Super Tuesday.

Clinton with Obama as the Veep or Obama with Clinton as the Veep.  That would be a very tough match-up for any GOP ticket to punch.

On the Republican side it looks like Romney is in big trouble.  McCain looks to surge to the finish with Huckabee nipping at his heels.  Can McCain beat a dynamic duo like Obama- Clinton?  Is Lieberman his running mate?  Is this bi-partisan approach enough to overcome the ticket of change.

Expect some big drama from now until election day.  The Primary Party is over and now the Primary Candidates remain.  Who do you see on the November tickets, I'd love to know.

The candidate can not be a “saber rattling war hawk” that continues to antagonize the world which continues the uneasiness the world feels about America. The whole Persian Gulf scenario has done more to ruin the perception of American competence and has skewed her ultimate aims. The Candidate must be an adherent to the principals of the Constitution and the protections that it offers all; the consistent circumvention of the principals by units government that, as I see it, will result in a fascist’s environment that each citizen will be required to present their “papers” is a slap in face of the freedoms and liberties that so many have fought and died for. The next candidate must be supportive and demonstrative in the application assistance of all veterans to make them whole and to be received back into our society. These men, women and their families have sacrificed more than America could even begin to imagine.

The next candidate must be able to inspire this country to re-establish the aspirations of an American Republic, not an American Democracy that as of late feels like mob rule. The rights of the minority must be protected not ignored. There is, no me without you, no us without them that seems to have escaped the present administration. Divisiveness throughout the whole strata of America by gender, race, orientation, family and location has to stop. We all are in this together whether we want this or not. We will lose our prominence as a leader in world affairs. As I see it, the sun is setting on the Anglo-American empire; our next leader has to have a vision

that encompasses the talent and the means to benefit all mankind not individuals and corporations that will bring us to the brink of ruination, in cases I believe we are already there.

The voice of the people has been truncated almost to the point that it feels like Nazi Germany 1939. We have had our version of the Reichstag Fire in the World Trade Center … and a group of pejorative, xenophobic henchmen that have attempted to usher in the New World Order as by the words of Neo-Cons. The last eight years have pushed the Russian Federation and China in a pact that combines technology and shear numbers that could bring a global war to these shores; no country in the history of the world has ever been able to sustain a two front war and I for one do not want to find out whether we can be the first, the price is too high. I am not for the extinction of the human race or any of its inhabitants. We are leaving a mess for children and taking away the very tools and means for them to survive.

The next candidate … bottom line … has to be a true leader inspires not a bully that lies and use tricks

If it's Clinton/Obama, I'm packing my bags. Maybe Uncle Rupert has an opening at the Melbourne Times or the Sidney Herald.

My vote depends on the candidate. If McCain is the candidate, even though I am a republican I would be forced to vote for Clinton if she is the opposing candidate. If Barack Huessein Obama is the democratic candidate I will vote for the republican candidate no matter who he is. I cannot bring myself to vote for a muslim and will never do that. Barack Heussein Obama has to be defeated.

I think the ticket will look something like this:
Clinton/Obama
McCain/Lieberman
Either way, the white house will be ruled by liberals.
If this is the case, I really do not think I will be voting in November. I cna not get myself to vote for McCain and Clinton and Obama are both out of the question.

Ratt_Killer,
I agree with you but, like Ann Coultier has said, if Clinton gets in at least the republicans will be against her. If McCain gets in the republicans will more or less have to support him and all his liberal ways and the democrats will support his socialist ways also. If he is on the ticket we need to make sure Clinton gets elected.

I can remember when the white house was a symbol of all that was good in this great nation. Now it's a symbol of whats gone wrong in these times of hardship, war, and the out right disreguard this admistration has for the people of this mighty nation. It's the same old story, The POOR get poorer and the RICH get richer. We have had eight LONG years of this none caring Republican White House and it's time we put the caring Not only for the poor but our old people the continuously have the needs they have taken from them.
This war were fighting never was justified from the very begining. The whole war was about finishing something Bush's father started back when he was president, which I might add were not the best years for our economy either. It's time this country was lead down a new path, the one were on is in the wrong direction. If a Republican gets into the white house we'll be going down that same old dusty road for another 4 years. Stop this disaster before it starts.

Whatever the outcome a democrat will be the big winner because only democrats are running. The Republican party is a part of history! What's really needed is a third party which will honor the principles of what this great country was founded on.

This is what will happen. Now that Huckabee has forced Romney into quitting and has absolutly no chance of getting the nomination. That leaves McCain. Obaba can not beat Clinton as the country is not ready for that yet. That makes Hillery the Candidate. McCain can not beat Clinton in November. So Mr. Huckabee [alone]has chosen our next President for all of us, Hillery.

Bigboyrivers,

So by just voting Democrat will make everything better? Just like Jenny making Michigan better? Like Kwame making Detroit better? Like Congress that has a lower approval rating than the Presidents. To this day I can't figure out the people of Michigan that only vote one party. No wonder why Michigan is a substandard State. I guess the five years of getting blowing away is working for you.

What's the difference? I like to think that government is about serving the needs of the people. I credit those who do that, and criticize those who don't.
