I am writing in support of Mr. Cockrel's of professional manor in which he took control of the outbursts by Ms. Conyers, Friday 4/11/08. I have been watching this entire week on line. It is very apparent that Ms. Conyers flips back and forth on many issues. And for as long as I have been observing Council, Ms. Conyers has seemed to be one of the most arrogant, rude, disrespectful members on the team. Not a good element on this Council.. The whole episode was very embarrassing for the City and surrounding areas.

I would hope that Ms. Conyers would get the proper help she needs. One thing that we don't need is a riff among the members. Giving Mr. Mayor great joy in the facts that there is friction in the City Council.

Need I add that I am a born and raised Detroiter that is now living in Royal Oak. Detroit is still a very important part of my life.
And what goes on in Detroit is also a very important part of our State as a whole.

Keep up the good job Mr. Cockrel, the city needs you.

You have to add hubby John's IQ score to Monica's to get into the low three figures. Monica's brain damage may result from oxygen deprivation when she repeatedly runs her mouth while forgetting to breathe--much less to think. Hence, her constituents have wisely lowered their expectations to avoid disappointment.

I must agree with the comments stating that Conyers appears to be undecided. Everytime that I turn on the television she is arguing with or for the opponents. She seems to be terribly confused and in need of psychological help.

One bad apple shouldn't spoil the whole tree; Although the City Council may receive negative publicity from this, if it is reported accurately the fault will be on one person (Conyers) and not the whole Council or city.

Detroit has many Rivers to Cross.

The sad issue here is not only mrs conyers rudeness and ghetto mentality, but from the mayor on down, city council, the water dept, fire and police depts the bd of ed, even the det zoo are in some way or another effected by these fools, how many jobs must lost how many must be spent before we as taxpayors say enough and mean it. det will be in a very sad state if some of these people aren't removed not only from the camera but from office. shameful and shame on detroit for putting with this stuff, way more is at stake than there personal agenda. makes me sick to be apart of it.

I hope she takes the time at home to review the tape. She was totally out of line. Passion is one thing but, ignorance and unprofessionalism is another. I was on a elected committee at one time. You don't know who you are going to have to work with. You may not even like the ones you work with. However, you have a job to do. You don't go home with none of your co-workers. Do Your Job!
She was tacky. Watching her over the past few years makes me wonder if something is mentally wrong. I hope this never becomes a reflection of her husband.

All I can say about Mrs. Conyers is "how utterly ghetto of you".

It is my opinion that Mrs Conyers is a typical example of the lower class route that is taken by individuals who have no grasp on the real world. To get in a fight over respect is what is causing street level violence across America. She could have respected her position in office, but it must just be about her.... sounds just like the Mayor point of view.
