The 2008 Summer Olympic Games are fast approaching and it  seems each day there is some new "condition" or "restriction" placed on the athletes and journalists who will be covering them and the tourists who will be the ones viewing them.  Today, we learned the "The Peoples Republic" has made it plain, no one and that means no one, will be allowed to say anthing the Chinese government doesn't like.  Filters have been placed on every internet connection in the county so no correspondence can be sent which is not first approved by their censors.  All vistors, no matter who they are, will be subject to seach wihtout notice.  Listening devices have been placed in all the hotel rooms available to "outsiders".. Your briefcase... computer.. suticases... your person can be searched without notice and without any probable cause except "suspison" of any one of hundreds, if not thousands of "government monitors".. Your hotel room can be entered, no matter if you are there or not  and searched at their whim.

PM Brown of Great Britian has issued, through the appropriate Ministry, notice to their athletes, anyone making any type of public comments, including about the weather, will be immediately shipped back home, no matter if they have performed in their respective event or not.

While I have been a constant supporter of Mr Bush, this is one time, his actions smack of BS.. PC ... Cowering to these tyrants is nothing more than allowing them the use of full scale blackmail.  And on the part of PM Brown... telling his people they are not allowed to voice their personal views, opinons on anything while in China is  about as low as one can get.

The games are 'SUPPOSED"  to be apolitical.. That is above such mess... The Chinese, with all their BS concerning the "new freedoms" the people of that Communist nation have are so full of horseHocky their black eyes are beginning to turn borwn. All their talk is just that.. TALK...

China has been caught red handed (Yes.. Pun intended) spying on both The United States and Great Britian.. Attempting to hack into computer systems vital to both the national defense and ecomony of each nation.  Then there is all the poison which has been found in simple, everyday products coming out of there... Pet foods,,, childrens toys.. as well as medical supplies like blood thinner, which should have NEVER been allowed to be supplied or in anyway connected with China in the frist place.  Worse of all, when confronted with all of this.. The Chinese government passes the buck to some poor slob.. executes them and says.. "Ah.. So sorry".... Anyone who thinks, even for a split second, any of these incidents has been "accidential" or just the work of some sweat shop owner cutting corners to try and make a few extra yen is either naturally stupid or works very hard at being such.

The Chinese have never made any secret of how much they downright hate the West. Now, they are taking steps to probe everywhere possible in attempts to find as many soft spots as possible.  This will continue until nations such as The United States and Great Britian say... ENOUGH.. and stop ALL imports from there.  Walmart has become the worlds largest retailer due in large part to their huge import of Chinese goods.  Just as General Electric is undermining this Republic by continuing to do business with Iran (and until its stockholders meeting in Erie PA earlier this month) hide such dealings from its own stockholders by using one of its German affiliates as a shield, Walmart by continuing to buy and sell Chinese goods in any of its retail units is likewise underminding this nation... Only where GE is doing so to our own national secuirty as well as that of the Western World, Walmart is doing to the ecomony of this nation.

China is communist and as has been witnessed in the past, any attempt to bring about changes is met with harsh military action.  Nothing there, just like in nations such as Iran, North Korea and Venezula is going to chance until the Western World at last stops not only all imports with such nations.. but all contact and relations as well.  Then and only then will the two bit tryants who control these governments get the message.. And in the process, the people held under the heel of their jackboots may just rise up and take back their own countries.

Lets hope so. Yet, with Mr Bush and the British PM insisting they will attend the opening cermonies of these games, the Chinese know they can damn well do pretty much as they please without any fear of reprisale. 

If  you agree with what I have to say here.. Then I urge each and every one of you to call, write, send telegrams, emails to Mr Bush and INSIST the United States withdraw ALL of our people from this circus.  While I know this will, in many ways, affect the athletes who have worked most of t heir lives to compete, this has to be secondary.  What is primary is the right of each and every human being on this planet to freedom of speech.. freedom of thought and the freedom to express their views without some bloody government monitor having final approval of what they can say or think.

This is NOT 1984 and the damn Chinese government is NOT George Orwell.

Think on these things. Then ask yourself.. What is important to YOU.. Just as Al-Queda has vowed to destroy Western civilization... The Chinese have vowed the exact same. Give in to China and what comes next?
