I just love how those that hate the Bible, will actually  continue to have the audacity to speak for Jesus/God, with no knowledge of what they speak.

They speak for God, but have no knowledge of His Word. They espew thier own personal opinions of what they think Christ/God will say or do!

It is discraceful, but is expected.

Many false prophets will come in the end days.

I urge you all to actually read the Bible for yourself, and do not let a false prophet tell you what it says!

It is the Word of God. Let no one explain it  to you. Read it for yourself. It is quite simple really. It is the Truth.

It is amazing, and far more interesting than any Harry Potter book!

It covers every topic, and tells the Truth, and the Way!  If you have not read the Book of all Books, you should read it soon!

It is the best selling Book of all time, and has not only predicted everything that has happened for centurys, it speaks very directly to the end of times.

EVERYONE should read the Bible!

Is this your opinion or God's?

As a pastor, I am happy when anyone reads the Bible. I have concern when someone discourages others from reading it or feels that some other person is not entitled to read or speak about it. God's Word is for all people, not just for the people who think or feel that they are the only ones capable of discerning the Word of God properly. Frank, you state, "they have no knowledge of Gods Word". "They es-pew their own personal opinions of what they think Christ/God will say or do". Isn't that what you, yourself are doing????? Then you say, "I urge you to actually read the Bible for yourself, do not let a false prophet tell you what it says". So do you really want them to read it and discern it for themselves?

I also am concerned that some bloggers have become stuck in the "Flesh Man" rather than seek to be in "Spirit Man". I don't usually like to get into too much scripture on the Blogs, I save it for my sermons and special events that I speak at. It is interesting to note, that the N.T. use the word "Stop" 23 times. In Luke 22:5 (different version here) "But Jesus answered, "No more of this!" And He touched the mans ear and healed him". Jesus' use the word "Refrain Thyself" (in another version). This was when Peter cut off the High Priest servants ear.. Peter had resorted to the "Fleshman".

This demonstrates the power of Jesus to still do miracles, even as He was close to His human body demise. More important, it demonstrates His great humanity. His precept of doing good to His enemies while knowing he would be apprehended. We are extremely lacking this quality on the blogs... This is one reason why people need a pastor. We are all skilled at reading the Bible, but sometimes we miss seeing this kind of stuff. A good pastor will bring about revelation of the things we are missing. Expounding upon the association of these principals in our life in a way in which we might say, "Jeepers, that's me today". I find it in myself, when I here other preachers. We all have something we need to hear, but will we.

I realize this is long, but it is important. That's why I don't quote a lot of scripture in blogs, it is hard to do it properly. I feel scriptures must be explained in context of usage. Not just listed, that is why I choose to refrain from doing it. With that said, I am listing just three scriptures from the N.T. that specifically deal with the word "Stop" and reflect the "Fleshman" nature we should seek to avoid.

Luke 6:29 If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also, If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him.

John 6:43 Stop grumbling among yourselves, Jesus answered.

Romans 14:13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another, instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brothers way.

'oops'..."Luke 6:29 If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also, If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him."
"...thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also."

Pastor, you seem a bit quick to criticize Datona Franks fine post.
Another-'oops' below. You need to follow Franks advice and "...read the Bible!"

" Luke:22 Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. 4 And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them. 5 And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money..."

Church of Christ-the real one, not the sewer Obama attended.

Opps, I apologize that was suppose to be Luke 22:51, slight typo, I tried to hit 51, only the 5 took, Drats! Luke 6:29 is correct.... Possibly different wording in different versions -jcadla.

Perhaps, you should read again, with correction noted, and you may understand what I am trying to say here.

I believe in my heart that Frank will understand what I'm trying to say. I have included a concern for ALL, not just Frank. I have even used myself as an example of applying things that need to be heard sometimes (the Jeepers part).

We just need to be careful the way we present things at times. Are we speaking from the Flesh of man (anger, hate, personal agenda, judgment & condemning spirit) or are we speaking from the spirit of Christ? Are we acting in a Christ like manner?

My keys are sticking or delayed in typing today. I really do apologize for any typos that may have caused scripture confusion or confusion of what I was trying to convey to others. :+) (drats, just fixed another typo) :+(

Golly JC, Frank doesn't go to church; he feels none is worthy of him. The Pastor has a good point. You insult other churches and folks you disagree with. No tolerance. That makes you a bigot. I guess you know not what you do, or are. Get help.

I see why you don't read the Bible Vittorio. Apparently you can't read. I never said "none were worthy" of me, I said as soon as you walk in the door, you see at least two Commandments broken.
You have a habit of misquoting, not only me, but God Himself. Shame on you.
You not only do not read the Bible, but it seems you failed to read my comment on your own post. I will repeat it for you:

"You love to throw the word "bigot" about. It is not bigoted to stand up for the Bible, and to disagree with those that do not believe it, and desecrate it by speaking for God, even though they do not believe the Bible!"

If I am a bigot, then your Bible thumping post fits your own definition of that word. That makes YOU a bigot!

No Pastor, that is not what I am doing. Nowhere in this post did I speak for God.
Yes I really do want them to read it for themselves.

I would never presume to speak for God other than quoting Scripture. That is it. I do not say what I believe it says, and all can read it and decide what it means for themself. I think Scripture is quite clear, and speaks for itself.

I have been called intolerant and a bigot for my belief in the Scripture. Perhaps that is partially true, because I am angered when people that do not believe the Bible, presume to speak for God! Further, it also angers me when those that DO believe the Bible, choose to ignore much of what it says. So in that respect, I am indeed intolerant.

GREAT POST, FRANK! I understood, perfectly, the point you were trying to make. In a nutshell, what you said was, there are those who criticize, condemn, and blaspheme The Word of God, yet they have never even opened up a Bible, and have no real knowledge of what The Word of GOD really says!
Vittorio, I offered to apologize to you if I have labeled you something that you're not. I am under the impression that you are a satanist
and you said (on Assfault's blog) that you're a
"pagan." Soooo, are you a pagan who worships the devil, or not?

Yes, and the main point is that The Bible is the True Word of God, and everyone should read it for themself, and not let anyone else tell them what it says or means.

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instruction for right living.

Vittorio, I guess you need to explain what you mean;"You insult other churches and folks you disagree with. No tolerance. That makes you a bigot. I guess you know not what you do, or are. Get help."
I have no idea what you are talking about. Explain, if you can.

In just seems to me, when "any" person reads any material, whether it be a newspaper, fictional book, instructional book or The Bible, a person still has to use their own God given mind to digest the material and then form a conclusion. That conclusion amounts to an opinion. We then share that opinion when we discuss subject matters. So in essence, WE are ALL es-spewing our opinions.

We are ALL still doing our best "Fleshman" job to interpret God's "Spiritman" Word. Are WE always correct? I don't think so.. Frank, I think you have to admit, we are all spewing opinions based on what we believe. Can't we just be a little less "Fleshman" and more "Spiritman" when we deliver it???

What could possibly be more spiritual that posting the Scripture itself to correct or teach?
As I have stated, Scripture speaks for itself!

As for "Fleshman", perhaps you better speak to you cat about that. It loves to insult others that disagree, while it whines about others insulting IT!

Having such a person in your flock, that does not believe in the Bible is shameful. You have not done your job teaching this person, and it shows. Bigtime.
