We did a story tonight for our 10pm news on bad behavior of many Wisconsinites post massive flooding.

For starters, we caught on video 2 teens looting a vehicle stranded in flood waters on Hwy. 38 at the Racine/Milwaukee Counties border.  The Oak Creek Chief of Police wants the community to speak up if someone knows who they are.

Now--- we spotted a number of people deciding they would bypass flood barriers and drive through flood waters.  Few made it, further draining a small police department and putting the lives of drivers, passengers, and rescuers at risk.

Chief Tom Bauer warns, those youngsters who took advantage of an already terrible situation will be charged when caught.  Those barrier bypassers can get fined $300.

In addition to all of this, Bauer wants all residents to be on high alert if a service person shows up at your doorstep claiming to be sent by the city to help with your flooded baseement, downed trees or power lines.   Any legitimate city employee with be wearing his or her Oak Creek credentials around the neck.  Anyone else..... call police.

And then one of those little thieves had the nerve to turn and wave at your camera's!

I believe it is just a matter of time before they are caught....then let's see if they wave to the camera's while they are in court!!!!

"But your Honor, I didn't know I wasn't supposed to steal from an abandonded car".

"BAD..............you are very very Bad boys".

"Yes your Honor, we are so very sorry".....(yeah, right....he, he, he. I hear there's another round of rain coming.... I wonder how many cars we'll be able to hit this time, ....he, he, he.)

Cynthia, I knew it would just be a matter of time before they were caught.

Instead of the judge giving them a slap on the wrist they should be sentenced to help clean up the aftermath of the floods for the whole entire summer and their parents should get a hefty fine to boot!

I hope Fox 6 shows them in court. I want to see their faces now that they are back in the lime light....I wonder if they will be smiling and waving.

You need to get your facts straight before you go on reporting misinformation. The two young men were wrong for crossing the barricades and sitting on the car. They were also wrong for looking in the car. They were both issued citations for crossing the barricades and only that!!! The police checked with the car's owner and absolutely NOTHING was stolen from the car!! The owner is not going to press charges. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty!! You should issue these young men an apology for calling them criminals and looters.

One more thing, there were several people taking pictures of all the flooding at the time your cameras were there. Do you think these boys would have smiled and waved to the camera if they had stolen anything??

I do think the little punks are arrogant even to wave . And The news said they did steal items from the car

Are you that stupid that you don't think that the news is ever wrong!!!! Get your facts straight!!! The news is wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They stole absolutely nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They were ticketed for only disorderly conduct!!!!!!!!!!!! Even the owner said NOTHING WAS MISSING and they are not pressing any charges!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Related to one or both of these "boys" granny? You seem to have a lot of knowledge on their behalf.
I suppose the kids involved in the ruckus at Riverside are innocent too? And the "llegal Immigrant"driver who killed the little girl? Yeah, everyone's innocent, even when they are caught in the act.

Yes, I am the aunt of one of the boys. He was absolutely wrong to sit on the car but he didn't steal anything!! They were ticketed for disorderly conduct. Need to get the facts straight with all you idiots!!! If they had killed someone like the incidents you described, they'd be in jail. Everyone is making such a big deal out of something small.

All criminals get their start somewhere, and oddly enough they all seem to have family who enable them. You'd do them a greater service condemning their actions rather than trying to make eacuses.
Makes me wonder who te real "idiot" is.

Guess your last comment shows who the real idiot is since you can't spell correctly.
So, sitting on a car makes a person a criminal? These boys are not and will never be criminals!! What gives you the right to judge anyone before you have heard the true story??? The boys were never arrested!!!!! They were ticketed you idiot!!!!
By the way, go back to school and learn how to spell excuses and the!!!!
Shows me what your IQ is!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all Cynthia you do need to get all your facts straight. Why did you have to piece bits and pieces of the story together? Why did it take over 28 hours for you to come up with the story? You were live at the bridge when it happened and you were still live at nine o clock right, then why didnt you say something then? Why wait till 10 oclock pm the next day!!!! I was there and a witness to the whole thing and taking pictures just like everyone else. Yes they were wrong for crossing the barricades and going on the car, but what gives you and your fox 6 crew to go beyond a police barricade? Thats just as illegal as everyone else. If you seen them doin a wrong act why didnt you call the police right away before opening your mouth and get them busted right away instead of trying to make a real cool story since thats all you did! Haha The kids already got their ticket for disordly conduct since there was NOTHING STOLEN and NOTHING DAMAGED to the car seeing as the owner of the car looked over everything and said so her self.
Why arnt you guys making a bigger story of the lady who endagered herself, her child, the fireman who saved them, and poluting our river? What about all the other people who drove through the floods and got their car stuck, why not make a big deal about them?
Also why in anybody in their right mind loot right in front of a news team and the general public? Wouldnt you want to do that possibly in the dark or when no ones around. Anybody who is taking the news side is an idiot since they were not even there! Fox 6 is just as bad

as the tabloids since all they are doing if trying to make a appealing story to the public!
Why is the news still making a big deal about it, the boys turned themselves in. They would of done it earlier if the story came out when it was live not a day later. They both have jobs wich prevented them to go earlier!
For barbiedoll, why would you say their parents should get fined, both boys ARE of age and would be considered adults so no parents should be involed! And why dont you let Oak Creek decide a punishment they are in charge, NOT YOU!!!!
For Uniongrover, why are the arrogant for waiveing at the news?? They didnt do anything wrong besides sit on a flooded car to take pictures, hell i would have waived at the news too!!!

Everyone makes typos,......other than you of course. But that has nothing to do with your precious being a jerk, or you being a ditz. Now go comfort your little nephew. I'm sure he's been trumatized by his being exposed as a dumb a--, as have you.

And for earwig, nobodys family would stick up for them if they truley committed a serious crime. Why would you evem think about catagorizing this with a murder (thats just being stupid) those two situations are on two different sides of the spectrum idiot. Everybody who has watched the news and believe them with out being a witness to the whole thing is now that much more retarded!
We were all kids and maybe still kids and we have all done stupid things in life and will still continue to keep doing these actions untill we die, so why dont you back off them for a little bit.
