Hmmm..... some have suggested it.  Check out my stories tonight at 9 and 10pm to find out what he's saying.  I sit down one on one with Thompson to discuss his chairing Senator John McCain's Wisconsin campaign committee and to ask about his future in politics.

I doubt it because McCain really needs someone to attract the bible-belt crowd, the ultra-conservatives, and he also needs a good public speaker. Thompson was such a populist and so liberal, he might as well have been a Dem, and his public speaking skills tend to ma.........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Huckabee or Romney perhaps. They both stepped aside very readily to endorse McCain and show support. Thompson... his own campaign fell dead too quick, too soon... he's not popular and everyone knows it.

I don't think we'll see Huckabee or Romney. However, some interesting potentials are surfacing. We shall see! -Cynthia

I am a General Assignment Reporter here at FOX 6 for the 5, 6, 9, and 10pm newscasts.
