The political frenzy is in full swing here in Wisconsin.

Senator Barack Obama had 20 thousand supporters on their feet in Madison Tuesday night and a Racine woman in tears tonight.

Senator Hillary Clinton sent her daughter Chelsea Clinton Monday and Tuesday to stump on state campuses.  President Clinton will make his way here Thursday to blaze the campaign trail for the New York Senator.

So where are the Republicans?

Senator John McCain is expected here Friday night.

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee made his first visit to the Dairy State tas a Presidential candidate tonight (Wednesday).  I had the opportunity to interview him one on one.  We hit all the political points of a traditional interview.  We talked policy.  We talked about pundits urging him to step down.  He says he will not.  We talked about the VA system here that is under staffed and under funded.  He pointed to his Veterans Bill of Rights as a solution.  We talked about the grossly skewed unemployment rate among African American men in Milwaukee.  It's the second highest in the nation-- behind Pittsburgh.  Then, I have to say, he surprised me.  The self dubbed "only conservative candidate" in this race did not miss a beat when I tried to have some fun with him.

Here's what I walk away knowing about Governor Mike Huckabee.... He says he has enough cash to take this race straight to the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis the first week of September AND he duck hunts, prefers to drink coffee that closely resembles sludge, and jams to the Rolling Stones proudly proclaiming with a chuckle, they are all older than him!

Did you watch our stories tonight?  How about checking them out under our political and news tabs on MyFOXMilwaukee.com?

Let me know what you think of the candidate making his debut here tonight.

Did you ask him about the sources of his 'cash'?

If Obama agreed to be interviewed, and so far he has not allowed any interviews without extensive and very tight conditions, I wonder if anyone will ask him about the PAC and lobbyist donations that have helped him

Oops! Wrong thread Basher. I believe your comment is better suited for one of the half dozen Obama smearing blogs hereabouts.

This one's about the wingnut candidate who discounts science and takes funding from a crooked televangelist who is under investigation by the Senate for ripping off the elderly, the sick and the poor.

Cynthia, if you don't mind me asking, what happened to you during your live shot tonight?
You said something I won't repeat, grabbed towards your eye and then the camera lens was covered. Are you ok? They didn't address it while I was watching.

They weren't supposed to address it. Just like any good production theatrical play or the news. If someone messes up you keep going. Don't worry about it Cynthia, keep doing ya thang.

And Ifilus lay off Huckabee, he's just a good guy trying to restore the greatness of America.

He doesn't defend the wealthy, he's for the working man. He's for the single mother who's working two jobs and still can't make ends meet. He's for the people.

I'm sure he's not all about protecting those money grubbing televangelist. Preachers without a church never made sense to me.

Oh and your link doesn't work.

I think that the operative thing is that Huck, whom I don't support, allows himself to be interviewed, Hillary al;lows herself to be interviewed, McCain sits for interviews. But Obama does not allow interviews except under extremely tight restrictions. What does the guy fear being asked?

Is he afraid that someone will ask him for specifics beyond his platitude and generalization-laden speeches? Might they ask about why he allows a Cuban flag with a picture of thug murderer Che Guevara to be displayed in his campaign office? Could it be that he's afraid that an interviewer might ask him about his ties to the Chicago mob? What is the man afraid will be exposed?

I don't think she "messed up". I think she was hurt. I was only concerned.

I was also concerned. That's why I came on this blog. Not concerned about politics, how about you cynthia? You were in a bad area that just got busted for the biggest drug bust. Are you o.k.?
