Leave the poor girl alone already. Do we not remember Brooke Shields back in the day when she was a model and actress with the billboard - "nothing comes between me and my Calvin, or blue lagoon. This is not to pick on Brook I LOVE HER, but alright already. I think this picture is over the line. I believe she realizes that she should not have done this type of pose - enough is enough. Leave her alone.

After writing up a shorter info message for myself I started thinking about days gone by and all the nice times we had that a lot of our children are missing out on.
Remember when we would play freeze tag outside in the spring and summer months, or soft ball, or checkers in the park. Waiting for the ice cream "man" after dinner - our guy was named Stevie.
Games played on our front steps - school, magic man, stoop ball. The trips during the summer of going to the Pool Club, packing up the lunch to bring over, getting our "spot" so my Mom was near her friends, trying not to forget your locker key or your Pool Club Pass.
Looking for a tree to stand under to cool off and not running into an air conditioned house..... standing outside your house or apartment building waiting for your parents while a warm summer breeze runs around your body.... or, going to the beach and staying until very, very late. Playing in the hallway of your building during the warm months when it was raining on the agreement that you would be very, very good.....
How about going to church on an early summer Sunday and only the windows were open with a fan going...... remember the feelings of comfort being in your own neighborhood surrounded by so many people you knew and who would tell on you if you misbehaved.....
What do you remember from your childhood ? ? ?
THE NEW YEAR

HAPPY NEW YEAR - hopefully we can start the new year off on the right foot. Maybe keep to that diet you keep promising to stay on, be a little nicer to people in general and smile. Smiling is infectious. If you are a happy person in general more power to you. If not, make the tiny, tiny effort to at least smile. Keep at it if you have to believe me it would really be a much better world if everyone just smiled at each other. It doesn't hurt, it doesn't cost anything, and it will even make you feel better. SMILE!
When I wall in from work I have three sets of eyes looking at me with the same question in their eyes - whats for dinner Mom??????
Two sets belong to the four-legged, furry type and their dinners are easy, give a little variety to the cat, and the dog has a special diet, so there, I am done...... the remaining set of georgeous blue eyes belong to my husband and he wants a nice balanced meal - and of course, something different. Here is a sample..............
It helps if you make one or two extra dishes on the weekends or even extra vegies.....
Macaroni with sauce reheated in a pan with a little bit of butter (or whatever you prefer) you mix in some grated Italian cheese, maybe even a little mozzarella and some peas, a small onion sliced thin, etc. simmer on a low light with the cover 20 minutes or so, until hot. Salt and pepper to taste add a nice slice of Italian bread (or two) a salid and DINNER IS READY. Some of you may not want the onion - no prob, leave it out.....
Or serve with sliced turkey or roast beef on the side (macarone can be with or without the veggie) brown gravy for the meat is easy as 1-2-3.....if you are interested blog me........ thanks.....happy Puerto Rican day to all my friends from PR!!!!!!!!!
FOX 5 - THE RECIPIE BOX

Hello - powers that be at Fox 5 - could we maybe start a new tab called "The Recipie Box" this would be really nice to swap recipies. So that anyone can post a recipie in "The Recipie Box"???? Or, just a new category??? In the meantime I have no problem posting some of my recipies. BronxGir1
When I was first married I had to try, for myself and my new family, the meals my Mother-in-Law made for her large family. One I was in no way familiar with being brought up on almost strickly Italian dishes. This dish is what my husband and I call "Blood and Guts" - it is really good, try it.....
Ingredients: Large Ditlini Macaroni, DelMonte Sauce and American Cheese, Salt and Pepper to taste, butter or whatever.
In a pot pour in three cans of DelMonte Sauce - regular size cans. Put the butter in the sauce and let it heat up, slowly put in approximately 20/24 slices of american cheese - Kraft Deli Slices are excellent - and melt and stir into the sauce. Once it comes to a slight boil and all the cheese is melted, salt and pepper to taste. Presumably your macaroni is cooked, now pour in the sauce with the macaroni.
You can use any macaroni your prefer and more or less cheese to taste. You can also half the amount of the recipie which covers 1-lb of macaroni, or you can even double it.
This can be poured over the macaroni and mixed in, eaten as is as a main course with vege sides - OR -
You can olive oil spray a baking pan and pour it into the pan, top with italian cheese or shredded american cheese and bake a few minutes, other toppings like frozen broccoli, pre-cooked bacon or ham slices can be placed on top. This can be a perfect vegie main course or a side dish. Heated up in a frying pan and a little butter is great as well!
I hope someone tries this dish - it is great - BG1
