I don't know about any of the other area schools/churches that may have joined in. But in Milan the kids from the middle school and high school gathered at the flag pole to pray for the health and well being of the schools and our country. ( a readers digest version)

My Point?!  Maybe we adults should follow their lead and do something similar. What could it hurt?

I think that is a nice gesture. Praying together and asking people to join is wonderful. It would be great if adults could join in a prayer too.

Blindone,

I made a comment than I read your Bio and seen your interesting pumpkin with its kooky eyes!

My brother passed away in the Vietnam War. He passed the same year I was born in 1971. Over the years I've talked to several interesting people. One older German guy lived in Canada (I was painting his fence) and he told many stories about how he was down in a sub-marine and told of such facinating stories. He had tons of radio equipment in his home that he picked up signals by a big satelite. I also had a Uncle who was in the war fighting against the Germans who gave stories too. I also have a cousin that was in command of air flights and he had great stories. It is too bad that those stories rest within those people and they aren't shared somewhere on a blog. It is sad to see those stories die when those people aren't here any longer. I only have letters from my brother who was in the Vietnam War as reminders of who he was (I didn't know him obviously) but he talked of me.

Camping and kids. Great combination. I absolutely love camping and spending time with family and friends in the outdoors around a campfire at night. There is a great item that my friends have that allows you to put two pieces of bread on it and then add cherry filling and toast it over the fire. The kids devour it and us adults love it too. I rarely get to do much these days as my mom had a stroke. I MISS CAMPING!!!

Thanks for sharing your Bio.

Thanx Victoria! The pumkin was last years addition from my oldest daughter who's attending State.
I truly agree that we adults really need to get some more religion into our lives!

Born in Flint, and raised here in the Midwest. I'm the son of a WW II veteran and darn proud of it. I believe in the National Anthem and am proud to be an American. I don’t like the way things are going so I’ll tell you about my opinion on various topics. Been working for the automotive industry for 30 years and I'm proud of that, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t have ideas about that as well. I’ll occasionally throw out some comments there too! If you don’t like my comments, you have too options (1) don’t read ‘em, and (2) leave a comments of your own: BUT don’t expect me to apologize for anything (other than mistakes). These are my view points and I call them as I see them: based on the values that I grew up with: not yours. I love being outside, drag racing working on cars (with my kids), fishing, camping that kind of stuff. If need be I can be reached @ DGESmoknz28@aol.com
