I hate to sound Negative.

 But it would seem to me that Conservatives in general have lost their minds. I say this because if anything george w bush & co.  is a glaring example of ultra conservatism at work. He truly shows what can happen when conservatives have their way.  As usual when this happens,  America always pays the price.

How many Republican Presidents does America have to suffer through before you people realize Conservatism Just Doesn't Work in our government. Historically, every time a Republican gets in the White House our economy suffers. Again I ask. How many people have to lose their Jobs, Homes & General Well Being before you people understand this.

I heard people Praying & Crying to have george w bush reelected. As if 4 years wasn't enough. Now, not only do you not acknowledge him, You people want another President just like him &  A Vice President that's clearly not up to the task.

I can only hope that if by some terrible twist of fate, Senator McCain & Sarah Palin do get elected. There's some kind of way that Democrats can be exempt from the Madness that is the Republican Party.

Please go to this site before bashing Republicans: http://www.nationalblackrepublicans.com/index.cfm?fusea
ction=pages.DYK-Why+MLK+was+a+Republican

Qoute..."It should come as no surprise that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican. In that era, almost all black Americans were Republicans. Why? From its founding in 1854 as the anti-slavery party until today, the Republican Party has championed freedom and civil rights for blacks. And as one pundit so succinctly stated, the Democrat Party is as it always has been, the party of the four S's: Slavery, Secession, Segregation and now Socialism.

It was the Democrats who fought to keep blacks in slavery and passed the discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws. The Democrats started the Ku Klux Klan to lynch and terrorize blacks. The Democrats fought to prevent the passage of every civil rights law beginning with the civil rights laws of the 1860's, and continuing with the civil rights laws of the 1950's and 1960's."... It gets better just keep reading.

Mr Romulan.

That was indeed an interesting article. I must thank you for it. It did indeed give me pause. I looked up some of the facts & found them, for the most part true.

I have to confess, that at lot of things I read in that article I didn't know. While it won't change my view of Senator Obama, Because I believe in judging each man on his own merits. It does cause me to view the Republican Party in a whole new light. I find it quiet unfortunate that in this day in age their motives always appear to be quite questionable. Perhaps because, with the death of Former Senator Barry Goldwater, We have seen the last of the great Republicans (& no I do not count reagan.

Thank you once again Mr Romulan. I always appreciate the sharing of knowledge. you have done me a service.
