A reply to a disturbing posting by Mr Zoot_Suit(written 11/5/08)
(I seem to be having a problem posting comments) Here's the Link to the offending Post

Well Mr Suit.

If what you Imagine comes to Pass, You'll not only have the satisfaction of being able to say I told you so.

You'll also be able to rest assured that not only did you do all that you could to prevent it, But also you'll have the knowledge that the Majority of Americans (or whatever we'll be referred to then) Actually Voted to become what we are.

But I must Warn you also Mr Suit. If in fact America does become the great Prospers Nation it once was & can be again with the Proper leadership that the Majority of Americans Voted for. You'll have to sit quietly, Secure in the Knowledge that not only did you do every thing possible to prevent it, But you actually Voted against it.

Now Mr Suit.... You can be a part of the Problem... or You can be a part of the Solution. The choice is Yours Mr Suit.

Ladies & Gentlemen.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for you Patience & Your  Indulgents. I know we may not have always seen eye to eye on a number of Issues, But on this Historic day, I'd like to take this time to apologize for any feelings I may have hurt. Because in the near Future we'll all need to work together, to help make this Great Nation truly Great again.  And Harboring Bitterness will not get us any closer to that goal.

The Election is over.... We have what I Believe to be a truly great president & I for one would like to put what ever bitterness there might be aside & Look forward to this Brand New Day.

Thank You Very Much. Big Gent:

This is A Response to  MrDuncan2K Written 11/3/08

Here's a Link to the posting in case you missed it.

Well Hello Mr Duncan.

Allow me to address your little tirade.
Before I begin, let me just say that Mr Human by default isn't worth replying to & most people on this blog know that. That being said. Let me begin.

Mr Duncan, with all due respect. I live in Detroit Michigan it has a population of over 900,000. That is or is nearly twice the population of Alaska. I haven't checked the population of either place in awhile to still say for sure.

My point is Sarah Palin was a Mayor & is a Governor in a place that's fine for her. But Mr Duncan, I can assure you, she couldn't get elected dog catcher here. Based on her Experience & Resume I'd say Janice Winfrey would have made a better running mate than her. But then that's just my personal opinion. For the record Janice Winfrey is our city clerk. In charge of elections.

I use videos to help illustrate my point. Please feel free to do the same. As for Expletives? Me? I never use them. They are not in my vocabulary. I feel I can communicate much better with out them. They tend to take away from a person's point. Now as for Lies & Distortion? Really now. Really... I'm sure by now you know I'm not that type. I usually back up my facts with a link or video posting just so I won't get accused of such a thing. As a matter of fact I consider your suggestion as just another kind of Republican Distraction from the facts. the type that I've been fighting against since I've been out here. I find that statement of yours offensive. But I've heard worse.

As for your statement about "such a critical time". Now that, I'd have to agree with. Yes Mr Duncan. This is a critical time. It's a time when it's imperative for the truth to be known. Not a continuation of the lies & propaganda we've been discussing for these past few months. I still can't believe there are people that still don't believe Senator Obama was born in America. Or given the fact that when asked directly Neither Senator McCain or Sarah Palin would call Senator Obama a Socialist. But some how that message was lost on most of their supporters.

I've been asked many times why I support Senator Obama & I can tell you, it's a lot easier for me to answer why I support him than it is for you to tell me why you support Senator McCain. Usually when asked why people support Senator McCain, people will give you the old Republican sound bytes that basically say they think Senator Obama is____________ I'll let you fill in the blank with your Republican Propaganda. Which I've debunked so many times it just isn't funny anymore. Then The same people come right back with the same old things.

As for me? I support Senator Obama Because of his Integrity, Inner Strength Wisdom & Determination. I support Barack Obama because of his Clear Thinking & New Ideas. The way he approaches Problems. His talent at planing & obvious Organizational skills. He represents a change from a failed way of doing things, back to a successful & possibly better way of doing things. He's willing to enlist the aid of people that are the best at what they do & Have the whole Nations best interest at Heart, not just the upper third. His Credentials Show him to be one of the Best & Brightest America has to offer.

I think it's time America got back to having a REAL President instead of one of us. By that I mean someone like you or I. Or someone you might meet in a bar somewhere. Like oh.... say a george bush?

Mr Duncan, I don't want a president that is like me or thinks like me or acts like me. I want a President that's Better than me. & If nothing else is a lot Smarter than me & over the course of the campaign, Senator Obama has proven he is just that, Much Smarter than me or most other people that are trying to compete with him. I would have fallen for a lot of the traps that the Republicans set for him. I heard a report just today, where the Mccain campaign was complaining about how no matter what they threw at Senator Obama, Nothing stuck & were very frustrated about that. That's because he's a different kind of candidate. A type that hasn't been seen in Years & they don't know how to fight him. I for one would count that as a good thing.

I sincerely hope this has put the color thing to bed as well as my voting for him just because he's a Democrat. Believe me Mr Duncan a lot of thought went into my selection.

While I'm at it, let me briefly touch on his talent & Skill at Negotiating. Another reason I think we need him as Commander & Chief. Senator McCain has too much of a hot head to make me comfortable in this new day in age. As for Mr Keys? No I have never voted for him. But since you brought it up, if you do some checking (I can't remember exactly which posting it is in) you'll find I said I thought Condoleezza Rice would have made a much better Vice Presidential pick than Sarah Palin.

Also you do a good Doom & Gloom. But please remember that he's not going to significantly raise taxes only roll back the Regan tax cuts for the upper 5%. Similar to what President Clinton did. You do remember how good things were when President Clinton was in office don't you? The funny thing is Republicans were saying pretty much the same things when he got elected.

Lastly Mr Duncan. I Always Think for myself. That's the main reason I don't get caught up in all that Republican Propaganda that just serves to distract you from the fact that Senator McCain Hardly ever says what he intends to do, that's right, think about it. How often do you hear people talking about Senator McCain's plans? Well....?  See You don't hear too much about it because most people are too busy talking about what Senator Obama intends to do. When compared side by side most of Senator McCains plans suffer in comparison. That's because their mostly a continuation of george bush's plans which are a continuation of reagan's plans, which simply don't work & You've read enough of my views to know what I'm talking about.

So Mr Duncan if you'll take the time to just check on what I'm saying you'll find that like Collin Powell we both made an informed decision to support Senator Barack Obama for President of these United States.

Now, Hopefully after seeing & Hearing these You'll join me in Electing  Senator Barack Obama President Of The United States Tuesday, November 4th 2008. Thank You.

Hello All.

This is a response to Questions asked by Justjenn781.

I felt I had to write this because of all the trouble I went to in answering her questions. I felt that if I went to all that trouble, at least people should have the opportunity to read it. Frankly I find it Pretty Cowardly to post something & not give people a chance to respond. Especially if you've asked them to. Oh well That's a McCain supporter for you. Anyway. Here's a link so that you'll be able to read her statements & questions & understand my answers.  Just Jenn's Questions

Hello Ms Jenn.

  I Accept your Challenge.

1) Certain areas of a person's past like School Records, Driving Records, Usually Medical Records are private. Senator Obama has disclosed all of the pertinent records that involve his running of the Presidential race.
For that matter, to my knowledge Sarah Palin still hasn't released her medical records has she?

As for Joe the Plumber. Well we won't get into who he is actually. The point here is, He asked a question & the answer was taken all out of context. But that's ok because your question was why harass him. Well Had it not been for Senator McCain making such a big deal out of him & exposing him to the media spotlight, we wouldn't know who he is to this day. It wasn't Senator Obama's people that have harassed him It was a curious Media. Also I find it amusing that Senator McCain would exercise the same laps in Judgment in choosing Joe the Plumber to help Represent him as he used with his VP pick of Sarah Palin with the same results. Senator McCain Clearly shows an acute lack of judgment & an Impulsiveness that I find to be quite frankly unsettling.

2) This Birth Certificate thing has been run into the ground repeatedly. How many people do you know that still have their original Birth Certificate? I know I don't. So if the one provided is good enough for the American Government & the Republican National Party. I would think it should be good enough for you & I.

3) What makes you think his beliefs get thrown out? If you'll do just a little checking he said that the reverend wright was an inspiration to him. As for Rev. Wright, well admittedly some of his comments were extreme. But does that mean they all were? you're willing to judge a man based on a few comments?
Had these been his whole sermons all the time, I'm sure Senator Obama would have found another Church to attend.

As for William Ayers... Let me ask you this, When you first meet some one at work or most anywhere. Do you ask that person their whole entire back ground before choosing them as your friend? that being said, if Williams ayers was such a bad person would he be able to hold such a prominent position in Society? or be such a well respected educator?

I guess what we need to look at here is the fact that these two men are not running for the office of President of the United States,or any other office for that matter. Senator Obama is. Speaking of which. Has anyone seen george w bush lately? I haven't heard from him in weeks. You'd think as good as friends as him & Senator McCain are. you'd have seen more of him. Hun, That's funny. Anyway.

4)Senator Obama doesn't want to take money away from anyone & give it to anyone else. What your referring to are called TAXES... Yes, I know. He is calling for a tax cut for the middle class, you know, the ones that work hard for their money & are suffering now under 8 years of regan & bush Trickle down Economics that history has shown does not work very well if at all. It's the same thing that Senator McCain wants to keep going, so we can have 4 more years of a declining Economy. Speaking of bush, Shouldn't he be out helping McCain Campaign? Where is he? Doesn't Senator McCain need his help? Shouldn't the American President be out here helping the Republican candidate? Oh well, Anyway.

5) Contrary to popular opinion. Senator Obama does indeed Salute the American Flag & put his hand over his Heart during the Pledge of Allegiance & even during the National Anthem & Yes he wears an American Flag pin on his Jacket. Which I noticed was missing from Senator McCain's jacket. Hey Senator Obama even has an American Flag on both sides of O-Force one. Which is his Official Campaign Plane.

6) Republicans are to blame for our Nations Economic troubles. True, Clinton did sign the document that you referred to, But if you'll check you'll find that it was started by a couple of republicans in the Senate & the way it was done made it Veto proof, so President Clinton had no choice but to sign it. Please remember at that time the Senate was controlled by Republicans.

As for the Black Deficit? I'm not sure what that is. But if it's what it sounds like, we're in complete agreement. Yes President Clinton Did in fact hand over a couple Trillion Surplus to President bush when he left office. So you see, the Country was in pretty good shape when President Clinton left office. It wasn't until bush took over that things started going bad. But that's what happens when regan economics get to run their course. Hopefully the American people have had enough by now. Speaking of Which, Where is that President bush? If dick cheney could take the time to endorse him, then were is President bush? Moving on.

7) You'll have to answer that question. All Senator Obama has said is that he's in favor of Women having a choice to Abort. The rest is up to them. As by now I'm sure you'll have notice Senator Obam has two very pretty little girls. So to him Abortion isn't always an option, but choice is.

8) That last question is a good one. But in answer to it. I would have to answer it this way. If you look at the electoral Maps & the new voter registration you'll see he's captured the imagination on this country in a way that's never been done before. There ate more people interested in voting for him than in any time in out nations history. He's shown a sense of Poise & Character not seen in decades. Enough that people are starting to believe that with him as our Nations Commander & chief America can be great again it can be that shining city on the hill that all nations will want to strive for. With him in charge. Hopefully we'll see the return of prosperity. Not for one class, But for all. That's why I'm voting for Barack Obama for President of these United States Tuesday November 4th & I invite you & all your followers to do the same.

I Hope I was able to answer most of your questions. I think I did a pretty nice job. Actually, I've been doing this for a couple of months now. most everyone on this blog that's not voting for Senator Obama has asked pretty much those very same questions. I only mention this because of the part of your post that says that you don't want any made up Bull he & his Campaign people have fed us. Well I think it would be interesting to note that most of the questions you've chosen to ask are pretty similar to those being asked by the likes of the Fox network & Rush Limbaugh & Company. Just a though.

Before I leave you Ms Jenn. I'd like to invite you to take a look at the real Barack Obama. I can tell you really need to see it again.

  Sincerely, Your Friend Big Gent:

To Whom It May Concern.

Since you're all so interested in where our candidates were born I thought you might be interested to know that in fact Senator John McCain was born outside our U.S. Borders.

Did you know that? What am I saying? Of course you did. But for those of you that might not have know. Allow me to inform you that in fact John McCain was born at Coco Solo in the Panama Canal Zone of Panama. Which I might add is the southern most country in SOUTH AMERICA.

Now to me? this isn't that big of a deal because our Constitution Has provisions that allow Senator McCain to be eligible to run anyway. But just for the fun of it, I'm going to let anyone interested in why that is look it up for themselves.

Now of course there are those of you that have been so busy trying to uncover Senator Obama's Birth origins, that you really haven't had time to look into Senator McCain's & I understand this. So for you I offer these links. Enjoy.

You Know? I'm starting to see just what you Conservatives are talking about, I mean, I didn't see it before, But I'm sure starting to see it now. Perhaps your right about Senator Obama. He is kind of a Socialist isn't he?  I mean that Remark to Joe The Plummer about spreading the Wealth around being good for everyone really hit a nerve.

Yes, It's so unfair... Wealthy people should pay the same rate as average people. after all they earned it right? I mean why not? Wealthy people work just as hard or harder than average people right? Right? Sure. I agree. Let's have every one pay... Oh.... Let's see what's fair... Ummm..... $5000 a year in income tax. that's fair right? I mean after all $5000 is $5000 right?

Sure you might only make $30,000 a year, but that still leaves you $25,000 right? Right? Sure it does. I like it. Because with me making over $300,000, I think $5000 is enough don't you? Yes. as a matter of fact I think it might be a little too high I'd only have $295,000 to work with, Hummm..... that $5000 could be Food & Fuel for my Boat for the weekend, Yes, We need to cut taxes across the board. We need a tax cut. These high taxes are downright Un-American.

I see your point. Let's not vote for Obama. He's bad for Wealth People.

Acorn? ACORN??

Now you're worried about a Community Activist Group? I hate to sound irritated But I am.

What is it going to be next? Senator Obama Shopped at this Supermarket, Senator Obama Got his Gas from this station & Was friends with this person in the Third Grade?

How would you people react if Senator Obama's Campaign tried to focus on every tiny bit of history Senator McCain had? At least Senator Obama tries to stick to relevant facts instead of trying to whip up an National Hysteria.

What would the result of that be? More Misery for the Nation? When are you Republicans going to understand Conservatism doesn't work any better than Communism. America Always, ALWAYS Functions better when it has a Democratic President in the White House. So let's let it have one so it & The World can Heal.

OBAMA / BIDEN 08'

Ladies & Gentlemen.

Please let's put all this Partisanship behind us. If you can't choose between Senator Obama & Senator McCain Perhaps there's another solution. Here it is.

I am Big Gent & I approve this Message. (Sorry, Couldn't Resist)

Mr Kwam.

People like Piper & I remember how good things were when William Jefferson Clinton Left office. Since then We've witnessed the steady decline of this country into the abysmal place it is today. Under YOUR REPUBLICAN President, We've seen Joblessness, Homelessness & Hopelessness on a scale not seen since the dark ages.

We miss a time when we could go anywhere & get a good paying job With good benefits. We could start a new business almost any kind of business & see it grow & thrive. We remember a time when there were more Healthy Homes, Meaning Homes that had one or more good strong bread winners that weren't afraid of losing their jobs Than Homes facing or in Foreclosure.

We now live in a time when even a Masters Degree isn't an assurance of a good Job or Career.

Thanks to YOUR REPUBLICAN President We've lost our leadership role in the world. And if it's not totally gone, It's pretty much there. Also It's been pointed out by more people than me, that if this were any other country in the World, YOUR PRESIDENT would be brought up on WAR CRIMES!!! Point of Fact. America wouldn't even let Russia invade Georgia for a week, Now how long do you think we've been in Iraq? They did nothing to us. William Jefferson Clinton wouldn't have gotten us into this mess, John Kerry wouldn't have gotten us into this mess & I sincerely Believe Not only would Barack Obama not have gotten us into this Mess He has a plan to get us out of this mess. Both Swiftly & Honorably.

For me... The worst part of all this is having to live through it all over again with people like you Mr Kwam. Hoping & Praying for their own misery. Now that wouldn't be bad enough, But you people invent reasons like Socialist/Communist to convince yourselves not to vote for what History has shown us, can only be better times. Also it should be noted Not only would Barack Obama  NOT!! turn this Country into a Communist / Socialist Country. But He COULD NOT. Due to our Constitution & Levels of Government. But One can Say that bush was well on his way to trying to turn this Nation into a dictatorship & I heard nary a peep from you & Your People. McCain Himself Has said being a Dictator is something he always wanted  & is striving to be. But You Worry about Senator Obama???

So Mr Kwan, I'll leave you with this final thought. The way I see it you & your Conservative friends have but two choices. Evaluating these two will give both of us insite to your state of mind. So think carefully.

Would you like to continue being stagnate or worse continuing on this downward spiral our Nation's in... or vote for change, real change which Historically has lead to better days?

The choice is yours, It's up to you to do the right thing.

I hate to sound Negative.

But it would seem to me that Conservatives in general have lost their minds. I say this because if anything george w bush & co.  is a glaring example of ultra conservatism at work. He truly shows what can happen when conservatives have their way.  As usual when this happens,  America always pays the price.

How many Republican Presidents does America have to suffer through before you people realize Conservatism Just Doesn't Work in our government. Historically, every time a Republican gets in the White House our economy suffers. Again I ask. How many people have to lose their Jobs, Homes & General Well Being before you people understand this.

I heard people Praying & Crying to have george w bush reelected. As if 4 years wasn't enough. Now, not only do you not acknowledge him, You people want another President just like him &  A Vice President that's clearly not up to the task.

I can only hope that if by some terrible twist of fate, Senator McCain & Sarah Palin do get elected. There's some kind of way that Democrats can be exempt from the Madness that is the Republican Party.

As I'm sure you all can see. We aren't even the tip of the iceberg. There is Confusion & Frustration everywhere. I'm just of a mind that if I'm paying my hard earned money for something, I'd like something in return. Preferably something Tangible.

Now I understand the importance of keeping our economy afloat. It just seems so unfair to GIVE money to businesses that are just going to TAKE more money from us? Will our mortgage or credit rates go down? I doubt it. not with the credit freeze going on now. I'm sure if anything, when the freeze is lifted, interest rates will go up because of skittish investors.

Once again,I'd ask The Banks,Mortgage company's, Investment groups or whoever else stands to gain from this Bale out, to forgive all Mortgages & Credit Debt to American Consumers. I May not be an Professional Economist, but it just makes good business sence to me.

Let's look at it shall we?

People with no Mortgage will have more money to spend. There's your Economic Stimulus right there.

People with extra money (real money) do tend to buy a lot, Like let's say ...a new or better home. Let's think about that for a minute. What do you think the effect of a sudden surge in home sales would do to our economy? My guess would be, Home values would skyrocket, back too or near where they were five or 6 years ago. People could Sell or Invest in their homes again with out worrying about  losing money.

The New Car Markets would heat up to levels not seen in over a decade. Plants would have to reopen to keep up with demand. Laid off workers would be recalled to work in not only the auto plants but supply plants as well.

As people returned to work,so too would the Cities that have faced so much abandonment & decay over the years. All the small businesses that have seen decline would actually experience a new economic growth & Be able to expand,Hire & Rehire as well.

As people came back to towns all over America, the Children they bring back would once again fill the classrooms of struggling Schools. Because the Greater the enrollment, the Greater the finances available to Educate the Children. So in theory, Children would get a better education, so we can Nurture More Intelligent Leaders to keep us from getting back into this mess ever again.

Would the Banking or Credit industry suffer because of this temporary loss of funds? I'd say no, not at all. as a matter of fact, I'd say they'd prosper as well. Because now. Because of money that was ours in the first place. They would be getting more customers, that would not only apply for new loans.  But can actually afford those loans as well. So I'd say.

"Fear not Credit Company's. They'll be plenty of Consumers that have not learned their lessons, for you to prey upon".

Yes, I might sound like an Idealist. But I feel if WE'VE got to pay for it. $700 Billion is a small price to pay for Financial & Economic Prosperity.

Thank You for your time. Big Gent:

Ladies & Gentlemen.

I'm going to put aside all this Partisan he said / she said stuff  for now & ask a serious non-partisan question that I feel affects most of us. We're so caught up in who caused it & who should fix it (myself included)  to ask the truly important questions. At least in my mind.

Ladies & Gentleman once again I stress this is not a Partisan attack but questions I'd like answered or at least thought about, if possible.

I've read a little about this 700 Billion Bail out proposal, but perhaps not enough. So I'm asking for your clarification. Because it seems to me that if We....American Taxpayers... Are asked to provide 700 BILLION DOLLARS to Corporations or at the very least Wall Street Company's that have personal that Knew...Knew... that most of the loans provided to people would most likely end in default. I say that last part because as anyone that's gone through a Mortgage process, knows they look at your finances with a microscope & know full well what you can & can't pay & at times will even help you exaggerate your finances to get a loan you can barely afford. Please note. This doesn't apply to everyone, but plenty of you,I'm sure can relate.

Anyway, back to my question. If We... American Taxpayers... Are to spend 700 BILLION DOLLARS to bale out these Wall Street Company's. I Mean 700 BILLION DOLLARS & I can't stress that number enough.

Shouldn't all the people facing foreclosure & In fact each & every American paying a mortgage have that Mortgage Wiped clean & Have those people Own their Home... Free & Clear?

I Mean isn't 700 Billion Dollars enough to clear the mortgages of everyone in America? if it's not It can't be much more & If we're willing to help the people who've kept us in virtual servitude for so long... Shouldn't they be willing to repay the favor by forgiving the debt that we owe as we're being asked to forgive theirs?

Speaking of Investors... I wonder how many of them are American anyway. How many Foreign investors do you think have a stake in this bale out anyway? I don't know, I can't say. But I'm willing to bet that a really good hunk of that 700 Billion is going to foreign Investors that may have lost money during Our Hardship.

Perhaps I'm looking at this all wrong. This is why I'm asking you for your thoughts on the matter.

Thank you for your time. Big Gent:

Ladies & Gentlemen.
  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gramm-Leach-Bliley_Act>    <---point of reference

The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, also known as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Financial Services Modernization Act, Pub.L. 106-102, 113 Stat. 1338, enacted 1999-11-12, is an Act of the United States Congress which repealed part of the Glass-Steagall Act, opening up competition among banks, securities companies and insurance companies. The Glass-Steagall Act prohibited a bank from offering investment, commercial banking, and insurance services.

The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) allowed commercial and investment banks to consolidate. For example, Citibank merged with Travelers Group, an insurance company, and in 1998 formed the conglomerate Citigroup, a corporation combining banking and insurance underwriting services. Other major mergers in the financial sector had already taken place such as the Smith-Barney, Shearson, Primerica and Travelers Insurance Corporation combination in the mid-1990s. This combination, announced in 1993 and finalized in 1994, would have violated the Glass-Steagall Act and the Bank Holding Company Act by combining insurance and securities companies, if not for a temporary waiver process. The law was passed to legalize these mergers on a permanent basis. Historically, the combined industry has been known as the financial services industry.

Congressional history of the Act:

The bills were introduced in the Senate by Phil Gramm (R-TX) and in the House of Representatives by James Leach (R-IA). The bills were passed by a 54-44 vote along party lines with Republican support in the Senate and by a 343-86 vote in the House of Representatives. Nov 4, 1999: After passing both the Senate and House the bill was moved to a conference committee to work out the differences between the Senate and House versions. Democrats agreed to support the bill ONLY after Republicans agreed to strengthen provisions of the Community Reinvestment Act and address certain privacy concerns. The final bipartisan bill resolving the differences was passed in the Senate 90-8-1 and in the House: 362-57-15. Without forcing a veto vote, this bipartisan, veto proof legislation was signed into law by President Bill Clinton on November 12, 1999.

So you see Gentlemen. President William Jefferson Clinton's Hands were tied,He basically had no choice. If only it weren't for those Darned Republicans that started that thing in the first place.

We wouldn't want people to go around thinking William Jefferson Clinton had anything to do with this Wall Street Mess,Now would we?
