The wonderful world of ad campaigns is smacking us all the face with just a little more than a month to go in the election.  While I was sitting and watching these ads, I noticed how quickly both candidates conform to the current events of the day and put the other candidate in a negative light and then they get those ads on TV quicker than a South Park episode, and if you watch South Park that is very quick.  The moment of truth came to me while watching these ads spew rhetoric and defamitory remarks towards each other at a time when we should be coming together to solve the immediate problem at hand, (THE ECONOMY).  If someone doesn't get a hold of what is going on, The Rich will stay Rich and the Middle Class will become part of the Poor.  Do either of our presidential candidates care about this?  They both seem more concerned with the next ad, the next way to attack the other.  I at least admire McCain wanting to put the debate off to go to Washington and help in this crisis, I only wish they could now get it together and solve the problem.  Hold the criminal CEOs accountable for their actions.  I remember a time when TRUTH, JUSTICE AND THE AMERICAN WAY was important in our society, but now it's become a race and party war and whoever comes in first will have a hell of a mess on their hands!

When John McCain announced his pick for VP, a loud cry came from the Democratic party.  That cry sounded like this "How dare he, this is dirty politics, he only picked a woman to steal Hilary Clintons 18 million votes".  Well not only was it an intelligent political move, after reading her accomplishments she is a brilliant pick.   I think Obama may be rethinking Joe Biden right about now.

What amazes me most is the so called party that defends against racism, bigotry, and any type of prejudced against minorities, is also the same party stirred up that this very qualified woman should be staying home with here children to raise them.  She should not be going after such a demanding job,  especially when she has a 4 month old baby with down syndrome.  How dare she.

I am always amazed at how the democrates want it both ways.  They want to be the agent of change until they disagree with how that change should happen.  They are all for equality for women, yet this specific woman should be staying home with her family.  I am quite sure that this woman has not only sat down with her husband, but probably her whole family to discuss how they all felt about her impending nomination and what roles they would play in keeping the family unit going if the GOP wins the presidency.

Don't be so hypocritical dems. it may come back to bite you in your  jackass!

Looking at our message boards there is  a lot of talk (as usual) about race, color, and lots and lots of name calling.  Here is my thought process.  I am white, people of color have called me white because thats is what I am.  I have friends who are black, thats what they are.  I don't consider myself better because of the lack of color in my skin, I don't consider them better because they have more pigment, it is just a way to discern a group of people.

If you consider the people who get upset because the first thing that people see is color then those are the people who want to keep a division in the races.  Tell me how hard it is to not look at the color of someones skin, we all have eyes it's hard NOT to see.  So the problem here is that there are ignorant people both black and white that take the color of skin and assign stereotypes to that color.  Then pigment turns to labels, but heres the catch there are all sorts of labels, Tall, Short, Fat, Thin, Ugly, Pretty, Hairy, Bald ETC....These are just a few descriptive words that describe someone, although some are not socially acceptable, it is what it is.

As I read some of these blogs I have come to realize that there really are a lot of ignorant, and impressionable people in our country.  I have seen a few fellow bloggers who want apologies and reparations for slavery.  People who feel only certain groups can use certain words.  People  out there who will defend others because of the color of their skin, religion, or gender.

Is it just me, or do others get the fact that some blacks, NOT ALL, are the ones who put themselves in a seperate group.  Don't get me wrong there are many ignorant whites as well who are completely racist and an embarassment to my race, but blacks can be just as racist against whites, as one of our fellow bloggers pointed out that whites are Evil.

Well let me ask this question.  Do you think it was very christian to cheer when OJ got off for murder?  People cheering the fact that his ex wife and her friend were murdered, leaving their two children without a mother.  That in itself sounds pretty evil to me.

Yes I think OJ did it, I also think Baretta killed his wife.  I think Martha Stewart and Lil Kim should have went to jail.  I think Kwame and his mamma are corrupt, but I also think most politicians in washington are corrupt.  I think that if blacks use the N word then they should not get upset when whites use it.  I think that the word b!tch should not be limited to just women.  As one of my fellow bloggers so ignorantly called me a HO BLEEP B!TCH in his reply.  I was not upset,  but my reponse to him was NOT put on his post because he must have felt threatned by the superior post that I retorted with.

People are way to touchy in todays world and they are so worried about being politically correct that everyone seems to be walking on eggshells.  Well not this B!TCH, I am tired of people who whine constantly about absolutely nothing and then turn around pointing fingers and making fun a someone else because they are a minority and think they can get away with it.  It's time to stop being a hypocrite, if your going to make fun of someone and call them out, then you better be ready to take a little heat yourself without crying about it!!!!

It amazes me in todays world that there are still feminist who really think that the fight they took on for equality was the fight they should have fought.  When I was younger, I was blinded into thinking that women should be able to have it all, Job, Family, Children and lots of money.  Women in the sixties fought and burned their bras in order for the freedom of choice, the freedom to choose their own career path and to make it amoungst the men in a working world.

I Truly believe the women of the 60's

had good intentions with extremely bad results.  Women today DON'T have choices.  Most have to work one or more jobs to make ends meet, and to put food on the table for the children and family.  Most women DON'T have the choice to stay home and raise their children, which is why so many of our children are out of control.  Hillary Clinton once said "it takes a village to raise a child", well the village has a NO TRESSPASSING sign out front, and the parents aren't at home.

I am very lucky so far, my husband works two jobs so that I can stay home with my son.  That is my career, to raise him to be a hardworking, trustworthy, good man.  Don't get me wrong I am all for the father staying home to raise the child as well but there should be one parent to guilde that child to become a healthy, happy and productive adult.  That is the fight that femisnist should have been fighting for.  RESPECT, the respect of being a parent who is raising a child which is THE MOST IMPORTANT JOB ON THIS PLANET.  You don't get paid for it, it is a selfless job that often doesn't merit raises or good reviews.  It is a job that leaves you tired and feeling unappreciated, but it's the MOST REWARDING job ever.

I feel very sorry for the women who can't have the choice that I have in staying home to raise a man, I feel sorry for the women who choose to have children and then choose to cast those children aside for a career when their career should be at home raising their children.  Next time maybe the feminist of the world will take up the right fight, which is gaining the proper respect for taking on and conquering the most difficult job in the world.

i realize that I will take heat for this post, but like I said most women don't have a choice, that choice was taken away from them and now they have NO choice and have to provide for their families.

Well Al Gore has a wonderful reason to be green.  The man has profited over $100 million GREEN dollars on his movie, and investments in companys that sell products and services that are green.

It amazes me that people have been suckered into such a scam of ENVIRONMENTAL proportions that is lining the pocket of a man who takes his private plan everywhere he goes, not to mention everything that he uses in the huge mansions that he owns.

I believe that we have to take care of our environment, but I like many other people out there believe that what is happening to our environment right now is called a weather pattern.  Remember in the 70's the scientists were screaming that we were going into another ice age and now it's all about global warming.

I think Al Gore is happy at all of the hippies going green, because the more green people there are, the GREEN goes into his pocket!!!!  Maybe someone in society will expose his greediness for what it really is!

Ok folks is it just me or does anyone else see how hypocritical liberals are.  I just went to move on.org (a very scary website) and watched an ad  called "You can't have Alex".  It was regarding the comment McCain made about staying in Iraq for 100 years.  Now of course if you listen to the comment he made, he was refering to bases that we still have in Japan, Korea, Germany, etc.  Now the ad has a new mother with her son who is about my sons age, sitting on her lap talking about how McCain can't have her son.  My problem with this ad is that her the lbierals are showing this wonderful mother and son and yet can't understand why conservatives take issue with abortion and worse partial birth abortion.   They are so concerned with Alex but want to make sure that women have a right kill their child.  When I  miscarried 4 months before I concieved my son, I didn't lose a fetus, I lost a child.  I was only eight weeks pregnant at the time and I considered that a baby.  I mourned the loss of my child and I loved that child as soon as I knew that child was growing inside me.  So if liberals believe in abortion,  but have the audacity to put an ad on their website showing how much they car about children, my question is does anyone else see the hypocrisy, or am I the only one that is disturbed by this?

Someone has to be accountable for the high price of gasoline.  In 1995 President Clinton vetoed a bill against drilling in Anwar.  The price of gas at that time was $19.00 a barrel.  If he had not vetoed that bill, Anwar  would be producing 1 million barrels a day.  That would have put us closer to being energy independant!  We also have the speculators driving up the price of a barrel of oil.  The speculators are driving up the price so they can sell high.  Once the speculators sell high, the price of a gallon of gasoline will drop.  Once again money changing hands on people who do not need it and the little guy getting screwed again.  Whichever candidate fixes the high price of gas is going to win over the american people!!!  Good luck to both of them becuase this is a big issue for me and I am sure a lot of you out there!!!

I was born in 1969, remember in the 70's when cartoons were actually funny.  We all grew up watching Bugs Bunny, Scooby Doo, Tom and Jerry, and lots more.  Saturday morning was like crack to children.  We all got up and sat in front of the TV to watch all the wonderful not so subtle cartoon violence that is inappropriate today in such a polically correct world.  After the cartoons were over at about noon, we all went outside to play until it was dark and time to come in.

Todays children aren't suppose to watch things like this on TV, and parents just want to protect their children from anything harmful in life; but todays kids see more violence now then we ever did.  We knew then that cartoons were pretend and we certainly would not go out and hit eachother over the head with a shovel like the road runner and the coyote.

As we grew up so did the wonderful and creative masterminds behind South Park, Family Guy, Beavis and Butthead, The Simpsons, and so many more.  Now I agree that some of these shows are inappropriate for young children,   But it's just wonderful to have these cartoons for adults who still love the kid in them.  Thank you to all of the creaters, keep up the great work.

Well I don't know about anyone else but I have been BLOWN AWAY by our wonderful Governor.  Does this makes sense to anyone else.  Democrates are known to raise taxes and Repulicans cut taxes.  Granholm raises our taxes (while we are in a one state recession), cuts school funding, (which she said that she would NEVER do), and then complains that this is not her fault but the fault of the past administration.  Then she does what Republicans are know for and that is give tax breaks to movie production companies to come and film in Michigan, yet the tax breaks benefit the state but not the people of the state, unless the movie company hires Michiganders which then does bring jobs to us.  Our economy will not recover unless we give tax breaks to businesses to create jobs and then incentives to keep these jobs in our state.  She raised all of our taxes and we are all suffering because of it.  If Obama is put into office I am afraid, he will take a page out of Granholms book and we are going to see a country who is suffering more then we already are!!!
