A friend of mine made a suggestion that we should travel somewhere. We have been wasting away the summertime and have had a lack of adventure. After pondering for a while we decided we would make a journey to an enchanted city of mystery and marvel, Toronto.
We threw thirty-five bucs in the gas tank of my parents hundi sonata, took one hundred a piece out of the ATM and were off heading straight for the United States boarder at full speed. In a flash the states were behind us and there was nothing ahead but the open roads of the Queen Elizabeth Expressway. If you have a need for speed this is the place to quench the thirst. It is nessisary to go 80mph just to keep up with traffic. I broke 100 for the first time in my life and I'll take that momentom with me for a while.
I was impressed with the city when we finaly arrived. it had many tall buildings and they all looked very well built. the highway was elevated a few hundred feet off the ground and it felt like I was soaring through the skyline as we entered the city. Yonge street is the name of the main street and on both sides it is lined with five star resterants and stores and shops of all kinds. There were sneeker stores, CDs and DVD shops. After parking the car we headed straight for our main objective. The legendary suvenier shop where you can buy a fake ID for 45 dollors from a charming middle-eastern man. They take a picture of you right there and you can become a resident of any state have any name and the best part is you can chose your own age. I am now 22 years old and live in Detroit. Hopfully the fake identification will allow me to enter a bar or two. O yea a colledge ID also comes with the deal. I am now a proud student of Michigan State University. GO SPARTANS.
I was most interested in seeing what kind of people are living just across the lake. I have heard stories about how diverse toranto is and that it is truly an international city. I have also heard that liberals view it as the ideal place and everything that they strive for. It wasn't suprising to see T-shirts with barak O'bamas face on them. I was a bit suprised to see right next to it a T-shirt with a notorious communist activist from the carribean. Gueara or something? Also many posters and other propaganda negatively depicting our President Bush. What audacity, how big of balls to the canadians have to be disrespecting the leader of the United States when we share a boarder. I used to be pro-canadian and dreamed of a time when our two great nations would combine into one, but after surveying toranto i would vomit at the idea.
In the 'times square' area, I only call it this because there is a large tv screen and street performers, it was jam packed with bystanders provided with tents and other provisions. Most of the people were asiana though there were a lot of middle easterners as well as african decent. the only european person i saw was a poor man playing the drums for money. Loads of french was being spoken. I was going to take photos of the city but my camera could not be found.
We raced back to the states with blazing speed. this time hitting 115mph, surely a number to remember for a lifetime. one thing i can say about the canadians is that they know how to drive.

The architects of our nation envisioned enhanced freedom and a limited government for the citizens of our nation. Under an Obama Administration and a Pelosi-Reid led Congress, the original vision of our nation is at risk. That’s why it is essential that Americans unite to fight for the preservation of our rights and freedoms.
