I didnt know what to excpect from my college orientation. I dont know one person that has the same major as me so i wont be seeing any fairmiliar faces in my classes. I was prepared for a stressful day of trying to fit in. Little did i know NOBODY knew anyone. it turned out that there was no "in" to fit to.

I was suprised and delighted to find that a University is the greatest most wonderful place on the planet. The campus is a city. Made of libraries, laboratory's, lecture and dinning halls, dorms, classrooms and causways. Shuttle buses diligently speed around the grounds picking up any student and trollying him anywere. Theres a top knotch fitness center with an olympic swimming and diving pool. all around are statues and sculptures, one became the victem of vandalism. The spray paint read " Conform, Modify, Evolve" followed by a picture of a caveman.

The day began with learning and reciting the al-amatter followed by a brief history of the school. One professor was available to give an introductory speech. already i have been supplied with a quote, "the goal of an educator is not to fill an empty vessel, but to ignite a fire."  And that my friend came from Socrates.

But without a dought the most refreshing attribute of my new place of learning is the girls, pretty, well kept, respectful girls. at the end of the day there was a precious gem spinning a batton. i got the information out of her that she does it with a marching band, also in individual competiitons. I didnt get her name though... another day, another day.
