A 78-year-old Swedish man was rescued by the Danish coast guard after being found sleeping afloat in the Oresund Strait.
Joe Scandenov had been drinking in the danish town of Helsingor when he realized he did not have enough money for the ferry ride home to Sweden. "No problem", he said, "I'll row the 5kilometers to Helsingborg."
When He woke up our Swede was back in denmark and sobering up to catch the first ferry ride back across the Strait and away for this embarasing situation.
The owner of the small boat involved declared not to press charges for theft. He commented, "We've all been there."
