Sarah Palin’s Resume
SARAH PALIN
Objective: To further ruin the United States of America.
Special Skills
1. I am Pro-Life even in cases of Incest and Rape, however I love to Kill animals including moose, caribou, and wolves by shooting them from airplanes.
2. I particularly love to chase the wolves into exhaustion by airplane and then land the plane in order to shoot them on the ground.
3. I have a special needs child with Down's – Syndrome, however I cut state funding for individuals with special needs.
4. I was endorsed for Vice President by Fred Thompson because I can 'Field Dress A Moose'.
5. I am a compassionate Christian conservative that believes the Iraq war was God's plan and the Alaskan pipeline was God's will.
(I talk to God, personally, everyday)
6. I recently learned what a Vice – President does.
Education: Attended 6 colleges in 5 years.
Experience:
1. Figure headed a city of 5,000 (at that time). After threat of recall, I was pressured by my party to hire a city administrator who did the day to day work of running the city. (This means that Barack Obama has more city experience than me, since he actually did the work of being a city organizer himself.
)
2. Governor of a state which is smaller than some cities.
( Alaska has 670,000 residents)
3. No military command experience. The 49th Missile Defense Battalion is stationed in Alaska , but I had no command role. When I called up the National Guard in the event of national disasters or in defense of homeland security, Major General Craig was responsible for administrating my call. I called up the guard once myself, to fight wildfires.
4. No legislative experience except city council.
5. No foreign policy knowledge (due to proximity to Russia ). I have never been to Russia .
6. Washington outsider due to no national-level experience in Washington .
Reformer of government waste and anti-pork history
1. I have a reputation for being "anti-pork", developed when I was governor of Alaska , but I requested $750 million in special federal spending for my state. I publicized my line-item vetos. Many of these vetoed projects were later restored due to public outcry or by the legislature. Some felt that I had not done my homework to learn why the proposals had been initiated.
2. As Mayor of Wasilla , Alaska , I had my hand out to Senator Ted Stevens for pork as much as any other mayors.
3. While I have been governor, I have requested for Alaska nearly $750 million in special federal spending projects, the largest per-capita request in the nation.
4. My biggest project as mayor was a community athletic center. Anyone who knows a little about real estate knows that you must first get clear title before proceeding. My city's failure to do so wasted at least 1.3 million in legal fees.
5. The state airplane I sold did not actually sell on e-bay because the bids were too low. As it turned out, my state of Alaska lost about $600,000 when a broker sold the plane to a buyer who had been a campaign contributor of mine.
6. Fiscal conservative??-In my 6 years as mayor, city spending increased 33%. At that same time, city taxes increased 38%. The city of Wasilla had no debt when I took office but owed $22 million when I left. Projects had included cost to remodel city hall and redecorate my office twice. I spent Alaska 's state surplus (which was due to oil profits) and borrowed for other expenses as needed.
Pro Tax Relief for citizens
As mayor, I lowered taxes for businesses and increased sales tax for residents on all sales (including food).
Environmental champion and record of achievement
1. I questioned the loss of ice in Alaska was due to global warming.
2. I want to drill in the Arctic National Refuge.
3.
In Alaska I supported delisting polar bears as a threatened species
4. The national gas pipeline I talk about is not even close to becoming a reality. The legislature, at my request, passed an incentive bill for the project. However, there are no contracts, and federal regulators have not approved it. No building has begun and completion is years away (if the project is brought to fruition).
Open and transparent, compromiser; ethics reformer
1. One of Barack Obama's demonstrated strengths is bringing diverse parties to the table to discuss and compromise. By contrast, I am not tolerant of divergent ideas. People who fought me on the banning of books in the city library are still on my list of enemies. I fight ideas not generated by my staff.
(Humm! Sounds like George Bush)
2. I wanted the Police Chief to fire my sister's ex-husband. He refused. So I fired the police chief. I wanted to replace the chief with a man I knew had been censured for sexual harassment. Champion of women's issues??-Don't think so.
3. My standard operating procedure is to put ideas out into the public domain as a trial balloon. If they are popular, I take credit for them. I did not oppose the "Bridge to Nowhere" until national attention to the project made it clear that it was not in my interest to support it. I decide what side I'm on regarding issues based upon public reaction.
4. My manner of ridiculing at the Republican Convention was not new to me. Of course, in that situation, sarcasm was all John McCain & I can depend upon since our positions are really unpopular with the bulk of the populace (as evidenced by low popularity ratings of George Bush and the war.) I'm proud of my pattern of belittling, backbiting, ruthlessness and sarcasm, for which I earned the nickname, Sarah Barracuda. Way back in high school I demonstrated my true colors.
5. My reputation as exposer of ethics violations was played up when I was the Chair of Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation. I disliked the job, so in order to get out of it smelling like a rose, I exposed the ethics violation of a powerful commission member.
6. Open and transparent or secretive? I kept my most recent pregnancy a secret from my children and parents for 7 months.

Who's the next Vice President?

There's so much hate for both parties now. I overheard someone talking at work that they think no matter who wins, they will be assassinated. I guess it's not such a far off thought with the economy working against the republicans and racism working against Obama. Perhaps we should really consider who the vice president is going to be. It's a tough choice for me. McCain seems too much like Bush and I don't want that. On the other hand, I'm concerned with Obama's heritage and if that will affect his decisions. Making a choice by the news coverage, I'd choose Obama. But then, who can take a politician for their word anyway? They still need a plan to accomplish the tasks they present and need approval for the plan from a split party. It's never as easy as "vote for me and this will happen".
