How shameful many of the blogs are regarding coverage of President Hinckley's.  What ever happened to compassion, kindness, understanding and respect?  To use the death of this beloved and good man to air grievances about what the LDS Church is or is not is truly sad.  Freedom of expession is a sacred right guaranteed by the Constitution, but when it is used to be cruel, uncaring and judgmental, it's heartbreaking.

Thank you, Fox 13, for giving this legitimate news story the attention it deserves, but not at the expense of the other news of the day.  It's a balancing act for you and I think you're handling it very well.

And to President Hinckley's family and the millions throughout the world who love him, my deepest sympathies.  He was a wonderful man, husband, father, leader, disciple of Christ.  I miss him already and thank him for his life of selflessness.

Yesterday's D-News had an article stating that UDOT will begin a number of road construction projects soon.  Yippie!  How I have missed the orange cones, the road workers that have to hold a "SLOW" sign all day long, the double fines in a construction zone, the numerous delays.  Never mind daffodils and tulips--these are the true signs of spring!

Congratulations to the Granger Lancers on their upset victory over the Box Elder Bees!  Good luck against Provo tonight.

And thank you, Big Budah, for going to GHS today during Live at Eleven.  It's a great school.  It 's a "COOL" school.

Just remember Lancer fans:  The spirit of the "G" will take us far.  G-R-A-N-G-E-R!!!!!!

Most of my fellow commuters took it slow and easy this morning, which I appreciated.  But what's up with the truckers that zoom past about three feet from your car while spraying your windshield with slush so you can't see???  That happened three times to me this morning.  They scare me to death.

Although I thought you handled your news coverage last Monday night very well, thanks for arranging to air the first hour of "24" again.  I don't think we missed anything crucial as a result of your breaking news, but I'm sure "24" fans appreciate your efforts to keep them happy.

All I can say is "YIPPIE!" I still don't know why the proposed stadium got as far as it did when ReAl is an unproven commodity and MLS isn't on solid ground. The ReAl supporters keep trying to compare this stadium proposal to the Delta Center (sorry, it still isn't EnergySolutions Arena to me), Franklin Covey Field or the E Center. Yet those venues were designed for sports that had been successful in SLC for years, if not decades. That isn't true of ReAl. In fact, I could have gone to every ReAl home game last season on a free ticket because they gave so many tickets away. In summary, it was a nice idea, albeit a fiscally unsound one. Why not establish a strong track record at Rice-Eccles for a few years before asking taxpayers to fund a new stadium? In any event, thank you, Mayor Corroon for looking out for what is best for ALL county taxpayers.

Attention Conspiracy Theorists:

Am I the only who saw this????

I'm watching the Sugar Bowl and there is President David Palmer standing next to the referee during the coin toss! (The fact that it is actually the All-State Sugar Bowl has nothing to do with it, I'm sure.)

As happy as I am that Wayne Palmer is going to the POTUSA during Season 6, I would much rather have David Palmer come back from the dead--even if it was his ghost!!!!!

I don't know how they can top Season 5, but the Season 6 promos look pretty good. It looks like Jack will return to the U S of A via some kind of prisoner exchange with him thinking that he will once again sacrifice himself for his country, but will actually die this time. But since Kiefer Sutherland has signed on for two more years, Jack will miraculously survive to live another day. This is going to be good. The Season 5 DVDs came with a preview of Season 6. I'll watch it and let you know what clues it may provide.

I have seen every episode of "24" and have seasons 1-5 on DVD. I admit it, I'm an "uber" fan of "24."
